Main Responsibilities:
Implement and/or Setup Process & System Deployment, Controls and Compliance:
- Align internal controls to ensure compliance with WPS process.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure a proper interaction and flow of information with other departments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
- Monitor account receivables, reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensuring correct and timely payments to suppliers
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and monitor budgets, and forecasts.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (formal degree)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the accounting field.
- Chief Accountant Certification or any other certification in finance and accounting will be preferred.
- Exposure in IFRS will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent in communication and collaboration.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
