Many people believe that reading books is more beneficial for children compared to watching TV or playing computer games. Personally, I completely agree with this opinion and will analyze my point of view in the essay below.

To begin with, children can better improve their imagination through reading books in comparison with watching TV or playing games. By reading stories, children have to use their imagination to create a vision and visualize all events described by words in the book. While reading, they will create images, thoughts and opinions in their mind, thus enhancing their imagination and creativity. Meanwhile, this can hardly be the case for watching TV, as TV already provides them with the full image and vibrant colours. Consequently, it is reasonable to say that reading books help children produce more imaginative responses compared to watching TV.

In addition, reading stories from a book also develops children’s verbal abilities compared to watching TV or playing computer games. Children will be exposed to a wide range of vocabularies as well as sentence structures when reading. Therefore, reading books can provide great opportunities for children to advance their vocabulary level, which can lead to their better writing skills.  Meanwhile, when it comes to TV shows or computer games, sounds and images are two key elements rather than texts. That is to say, books are far better than TV or games at increasing children’s vocabulary.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that the advantages of reading books far outweigh those of watching TV or playing games for children since this activity does good to both their imagination and language ability.

The debate over whether reading stories from books is more beneficial for children than watching TV or playing computer games has long been a topic of discussion. While television and games can provide modern preference and sometimes educational content, I strongly believe that reading offers unparalleled cognitive, emotional, and linguistic benefits that outweigh the advantages of screen-based activities.

I believe that the primary reason why reading books is more important is enhanced imagination. That is to say, while humans, especially elders, are exploring new areas through novels and stories, human brain unconsciously draws necessary figure in the mind, meaning that the brain is engaged in a process of mental imagery. This process is not just about understanding words on a page, but about constructing a mental representation of the scenes and characters described. The brain visualizes details that are not fully provided. For example, if a novel describes a character with limited detail— “a tall man with dark hair”—the reader’s mind might create a specific image of what that man looks like. Similarly, when a place is described, the brain constructs an image of that environment. This mental imagery is not a conscious choice, but an automatic, unconscious process driven by the brain's need to make sense of the narrative. In contrast, watching TV or playing games offers interactive learning among children, via TV shows or immersive games, such as schoolhouse rock or ABCya. Not only these factors can help children to boost language skills but also improve collaboration by watching or playing it with friends and relatives who are at similar age. Given that, books are more essential and also better due to affecting cognition of humans.

Another compelling factor of necessity of reading book is being mentally and physically healthy. It raises focus and concentration, as immersing yourself in abook requires deep engagement and attention, unlike the scrolling through screens. This practice strengthens the brain’s ability to stay attentive, eternally. By opting for traditional books instead of screens, individuals can avoid the negative effects of screen time, such as eye strain caused by prolonged exposure to infrared light, headaches triggered by screen flicker or brightness, and overstimulation of the brain, which can disrupt sleep and lead to anxiety. Additionally, a good case in point, Parkinson’s disease, which is a condition where a part of your brain gets worse, causing more severe symptoms over time. However, in today’s digital age, those visual activities fit rapidly into the fast-paced lifestyle, offering instant access to a wide range of content, from immersive shows to interactive gaming experience. Furthermore, playing video games, particularly action or sport-based ones, has been shown to improve hand-eye coordination and reflexes. The aforementioned arguments demonstrate why books provide a soothing, way to stimulate the mind without constant distractions.

In conclusion, I believe that overall reading books have advanced enormously due to upgraded imagination and health and despite some potentially negative sides of it such as can not encourage mutual learnings and turn up to modern opportunities.

In a 24/7 world, dwellers suppose that reading books is better for the development of the young generation. Whether offspring are obligated to gain knowledge from books or just spend their valuable time watching TV and playing computer games. In my opinion, I fully agree with the first statement, and I wholeheartedly support that children's development is extremely necessary to read books and scientific magazines.

To begin with, reading books is better for children to broaden their horizons and acquire some knowledge which would be beneficial in the future. Firstly, one main possibility of reading books is a expand their horizons, due to children in an early age, especially in their school time. As a consequence, scrutiny books will assist in getting extra knowledge, such as financial or scientific magazines. By way of illustration, according to CNN News approximately 60% of children who consecutively appreciated reading books, became more attentive, knowledgeable, and independent from others' opinions, due to this individuals were initiated to express their best opinions and decisions. In addition, reading books would be the main reason for children's new ideas and become more creative, although to reduce stress and forget the issues which have in their life.

On the other hand, playing games or watching TV shows also becomes more well-known for offspring, which aids them to get extra information and become more mature in their own way. Because of this children are capable of watching some shows where celebrities, like R. Kiyosaki, and G. Cardone might participate and also provide cherished data or business ideas that children may use for their own business or in further career workplaces. Secondly, playing arcades or detective games helps children to improve their cognitive thinking and also influences them to grasp mathematical problems, because there are numerous games that have logical questions where children have to use their brains and after that make further progress.

To sum up, after weighing up both sides of the argument it is indispensable to say that reading books, watching TV, and playing games are crucial for children's growth, but they need to spend time sufficiently with each of them.

The debate over whether reading stories from a book is better than watching TV or playing computer games for children has been a rather controversial topic. However, others believe that kids should do whatever they like. This essay will elucidate both viewpoints and offer a personal perspective.

To begin with, it is known that the book is a valuable resource that offers us great knowledge and creativity. By reading stories from books, they will attain a wide range of imagination that is of great help for developing skills such as creativity, quick thinking, and logic. These skills  need to be developed during childhood with a firm foundation, and the tool to make it possible is by reading a lot.

Nevertheless, a child still should experience the fun and joy that one would feel during their youth. Only studying might affect the kid’s mental health negatively. Thus, everything should be in balance. Of course, learning is exceptional however, they also need to fill their thirst for fun by watching TV, and playing computer games. Children also learn unique skills through watching TV and playing video games, such as learning to speak in shows, cooking based on cooking shows, and making friends easily.

In conclusion, even though studying through books is considered better, a youngster is the one that needs more than learning. We need to give them the satisfaction that they strive for, for them to have a healthy childhood also a solid foundation of mental health that can never be shaken. Hence, I strongly believe that every young one deserves happiness, and they have the right to do whatever they like.
