Câu trả lời mẫu chủ đề Singing IELTS Speaking Part 1
1. Do you like singing? Why?
Yes, I certainly do, though I know that my voice sounds terrible cause I never sing in tune. But how much does it matter, right? What I lack is ability, I’ll make up for it with my enthusiasm. I usually sing when I’m taking a shower or doing household chores. Bursting into song every once in a while makes me feel much better.
- sing in tune (phrase): hát đúng giai điệu
- enthusiasm (n): sự nhiệt huyết
- bursting into song (phrase): hát lên một giai điệu
2. Have you ever learnt how to sing?
Yes, I actually took music lessons during my primary and secondary school years. However, if I have a chance, I’ll definitely join another singing class. I was told that I had no sense of rhythm, so hopefully one day I’ll stop being this tone deaf and know how to hit the right note.
- Rhythm (noun): nhịp điệu
- tone deaf (noun): không có khả năng hát đúng âm điệu
- hit the right note: hát đúng
3. Who do you want to sing for?
Well, most of the time I just sing for myself. The only exception being my close friends who can tolerate my horrific voice which always runs out of breath and breaks on high notes whenever we have virtual karaoke nights. Otherwise, I would never sing in public since it is the most embarrassing thing in the world.
- tolerate (verb): chịu đựng
- horrific (adj): đáng sợ
- run out of breath (phrase): hết hơi
- high note (noun): các âm cao
4. Do you think singing can bring happiness to people?
Absolutely yes. Even just humming or whistling can lift up one’s mood. If my memory serves me right, there’s a so-called “feel good” chemical released in human brains when we sing, especially in groups. It also relieves stress and anxiety. I can’t imagine a world where there’s no music, no melody, no notes, how monotonous and terrifying.
- hum (verb): ngâm nga
- whistle (verb): huýt sáo
- monotonous (adj): đơn điệu
- terrifying (adj): đáng sợ
