What do you like about your major?
What I especially like about my major is that it covers a lot of economic knowledge, so I can have a wide range of career options. I can work as a banker or a purchaser at giant companies. That’s not to mention, I can make friends with a lot of brainy people.
Would you prefer to study alone or with others?
I consider myself an easily distracted person, so I prefer to study alone. To be honest, I can’t focus on studying at all when there is a noise around, be it loud or small.
What kind of school did you go to when you were a kid?
I attended a public school for my education from preschool to sixth grade. During my time, it was the best and most well-known primary school.
Do you work or are you a student?
I am currently a junior majoring in English Linguistics at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with a concentration on Culture and Literature.
What do you find most challenging in the major?
The most challenging aspect of my major is the huge workload which includes extensive amounts of required reading. Keeping up with the theoretical linguistics lessons and reading materials can be overwhelming sometimes. However, I view it as an opportunity to enhance my critical thinking and time management skills.
Do you enjoy studying alone or with friends?
It depends. There are times when I need a quiet space to focus on my studies, which is best achieved through solitary study. On the other hand, group study can be beneficial for collaborative learning where we can exchange ideas and solve problems together. Both approaches have their merits and contribute to my overall learning experience.

Describe your favorite subject at school (Mô tả môn học bạn yêu thích ở trường)
Of all the subjects at school, history has always remained my favorite. In every history class, we were introduced to many key historical occurrences. It was a dull topic for some of my classmates, but I really liked it.
I recall at our first meeting, our teacher handed out a syllabus, which served as a roadmap for the key topics we would cover each week. Several novels and other reading materials were given to us as homework. We discussed notable personalities, including soldiers, philosophers, and artists. We also discussed the ancient peoples' religions, traditions, and customs.
Unlike many other subjects, history requires not only a good memory but also the ability to connect all the dots of past events to draw important lessons.
It was a difficult topic for me and my classmates at the time since memorizing so much of it took up so much of our time. But I find history to be quite fascinating. I've always been interested in how people lived in the past. I've always been curious to learn how our generation's past shaped who we are now. It intrigues me.
Describe a period of time from your studies that was the most difficult for you ( mô tả khoảng thời gian học tập khó khăn nhất đối với bạn)
Today, I would like to talk about the toughest period I faced during my studies. It occurred in my final year of high school when I was preparing for the national university entrance exam.
The reason why it was hard was because of the huge pressure and expectations associated with this exam. Its results would determine the university and major I would be admitted to, therefore shaping my future career prospects. However, the competition was intense, with countless students applying for limited spots in prestigious universities. And the fear of disappointing my family and teachers further added to the stress.
During that time, I dedicated long hours to self-study in the evenings and weekends while attending school during the day. I focused on revising all the subjects covered in the exam, from mathematics and physics to literature and English. To overcome the difficulties, I had various strategies such as asking for guidance from my teachers, taking extra classes 4 days a week, and forming study groups with my classmates to help each other out. I also practiced past exam papers to become familiar with the upcoming exams.
All in all, even though it was tiring, I'm happy to say that my hard work paid off as I got accepted into my dream university. I'm grateful for that period when I look back because it taught me how to thrive when facing tough challenges, and those skills have continued to help me throughout my academic journey.
Describe a teacher you admire greatly
I would like to talk about a teacher whom I greatly admire, Ms. Mai. In terms of her personality, she always had a calm and friendly demeanor that made her approachable to all students. I consider myself lucky to have had Ms. Mai as my English teacher throughout high school because she had an incredible ability to bring any lessons to life, making it captivating.
But what truly set Ms. Mai apart was her dedication to our personal growth. She not only focused on academic excellence but also emphasized our overall development by taking the time to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses, and providing support to help us reach our full potential. For example, during my 12th grade, she once organized a mock interview session. We had to design our own resumés and undergo interviews to get a glimpse of what real employment would be like. It was an experience I had never encountered before, and it left a lasting impression on me. This is why my classmates and I always looked forward to attending her class periods, and truancy was a rare occurrence. Overall, Ms. Mai's exceptional teaching skills and dedication make her a truly remarkable teacher. She inspired me to become a better person and taught me the importance of being passionate about one's job.

Is a good education more important to a boy or a girl? Why?
I think it is equally important for both boys and girls to pursue a good education. In today's culture, women have repeatedly demonstrated their ability to handle duties and obtain positions that were previously solely held by men in a variety of sectors, including politics, science, athletics while males have started working in certain fields that were formerly thought to be reserved only for women, like fashion, housework, and cooking. It is obvious that anyone can only live up to their fullest potential if given an opportunity regardless of their sex.
Do you think that schools should use more technology to help students learn?
Yes, I do think that schools should embrace technology into their teaching methods, especially in today's modern world. Children are growing up surrounded by digital devices and the internet, so it only makes sense to include these tools into the curriculum. Technology can enhance the learning process by making theoretical knowledge more interactive and engaging. To be specific, learning through educational games and quizzes not only makes dull lessons more fun but also encourages active participation and healthy competition among students.
Do you agree or disagree that computers will replace teachers one day?
In my opinion, it’s very unlikely for technology to replace teachers. While it's true that computers have benefited students by enhancing the classroom experience, the human element in education remains invaluable. Firstly, teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that comes from years of practical experience. They possess the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual students' needs. Secondly, we often crave for meaningful connections as humans, therefore, teachers would play a crucial role in providing mental and emotional support to students. Such personal connections cannot be replicated by computers alone. In conclusion, technology should be viewed as a complement rather than a complete replacement for teachers.
