About the role:

The Tax Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day tax compliance and controlling activities in Vietnam, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The Tax Officer will work closely with other team members to deliver on their respective responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle all tax related issues, including Tax Reconciliation/Audits/ Inspections, both internally and externally.
• Manage monthly/ quarterly/ annually VAT, CIT, FCT, TP and otherreports (declarations and/ or finalization), ensuring their reconciliation with company’s accounting system while complying with local laws/ legislations as well as company’s policies/ procedures
• Manage the monthly tax journal entry closing, and other general ledger accounts when needed
• Drive the tax health check agenda and partner with other functions to ensure the compliant and consistent process execution across locations.
• Stayupdated with changs in Vietnam tax laws. Analyze the business implications, develop tax solutions and timely consult with management on necessary actions to ensure robust tax position in accordance with tax law changes as well as business growth.
• Implement transformation opportunities that drive substantial automation and productivity improvements: e-invoice, e-tax payment, e-tax learning course...
• Prepare response documents to tax or related authorities in case of appealing or seeking advice.
• Assist in various account reconciliations and analyses as and when requires and other accounting related jobs as assigned by Line Manager.

Key Skills / Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years in managerial role in FMCG/ Big4 companies
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
• Ability to effectively present tax-related matters and make technical recommendations to the Head of Finance, the management and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, spreadsheet applications, and other relevant technology.
• High proficiency in English or Chinese languages to liaise with counterparts in the China Headquarter .
• Understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP is an added advantage.
• Degree in finance or accounting, or professional accounting qualifications. Preferably with CPA, CPT certification.
• Priority will be given to candidates who have experience working with or consulting for companies based in Cambodia
