About the role
Clas Ohlson has defined Vietnam as their next location for their new sourcing hub and is therefore looking for a flexible, driven, service-minded and well-structured young talent with high future potential to join the team.
You are responsible to purchase goods per guidance of the sourcing manager following established purchasing policies and procedures to optimize price and total cost, without jeopardizing sustainability (CSR) and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing: 50%
• Understand and deliver on local/regional sourcing strategies and project plans.
• Source new suppliers within the responsible regions that meet the company requirements on price, sustainability, quality standards, and lead time.
• Perform initial assessments on new suppliers and prepare/train them to work with Clas Ohlson following the company policies and SOPs.
• Secure best possible performance from Supplier Base for whole product life cycle from NPD to end of life together with cost saving negotiations.
• Contribute effectively from his/her best commercial and engineering knowledge in team of sourcing professionals and excels in collaboration also with other stakeholders across organizations and cultures to achieve the goals.
• Maintain strong business relationships with vendors for product development and production. Able to monitor vendors’ performance ref. targets and goals. Ensuring CAPs and implementation

Quality Assurance: 50%
• Assure that products fulfill internal and legal requirements, check, and sign approval samples for production.
• Check documentation for the products, internal and legal requirements.
• Cooperate with merchandisers, manufacturers and purchasing department in Sweden regarding technical issues.
• Correspondence with suppliers regarding technical issues in product development, claims and product improvements. Perform quality and safety check of samples sent to the HQ.
• Analyze QC and claim statistics to initiate and drive product improvements.
• Monitor and handling of claim actions. Initiate and check CAP from factory.
• Be updated regarding standards, regulations and directives covering Clas Ohlson's products.
• Responsible to coordinate tests and evaluate test results performed by 3rd party labs.
• Support merchandisers regarding product safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Lead projects assigned by IPO and QA Manager.
