We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Logistics Manager to lead and manage our Logistics Department, overseeing Warehouse Operations, Transportation, and Import-Export functions. This role is critical to ensuring seamless supply chain operations and supporting our growing business in the textile and garment industry.

Main accountabilities/ Job description:

• Lead and manage import-export operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Ensure timely clearance of goods through customs and timely shipment to customers or warehouses.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and finance accounting teams to ensure efficient operations in the import/export process.
• Ensure optimal stock levels and timely delivery of products to clients and suppliers.
• Optimize transportation routes and manage carrier relationships to minimize costs while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure compliance with transportation safety standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs policies.
• Ensure the company complies with local and international regulations, including import/export laws, trade restrictions, and safety standards.
• Manage the necessary permits and certifications for exporting and importing goods.
• Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, providing training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the department.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade, including currency fluctuations, shipping delays, and political instability.
• Ensure the company’s goods are insured during transportation and manage any insurance claims.

Knowledge requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

·    Minimum 10-15 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the textile/ garment, furniture exporting industry preferred.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).

·       In-depth knowledge of warehouse management, transportation, and import-export processes.

·       Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading successful teams.

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
