Job purpose

The Communications Officer is a key position responsible for supporting the communication efforts of Fulbright University Vietnam, with a primary focus on creating compelling written materials, managing website content, and supporting internal and external communication initiatives. They play a crucial role in effectively conveying the university's messages and enhancing its brand reputation. The Communications Officer works closely with other departments to ensure consistent and engaging communication across various functions and channels.

Roles and Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Communications Officer includes but is not limited to:

• Develop and deliver written content in alignment with the university's goals and objectives, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Utilize storytelling techniques to drive engagement and brand awareness through compelling written content across different platforms.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate written content effectively into various communication channels and materials.
• Support internal and external communication initiatives by providing well-crafted written materials that effectively convey key messages.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, identifying opportunities for proactive communication and strategic positioning through written materials.
• Assist in maintaining relationships and working with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to support media coverage and raise the university's profile.
• Assist in managing and updating the university's website content, ensuring it remains up-to-date and relevant.
• Coordinate and support university events, including writing event announcements, press releases, media posts and on-site execution.
• Analyze and prepare thorough media and communications reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Marketing and Communication Officer.

Other duties:

Contributing to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the department; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed; and perform other duties as assigned.
