Job Description
- Design and manage PostgreSQL database architecture to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance tasks including tuning, backup and recovery, and monitoring.
- Analyze user requirements and system specifications to develop comprehensive database architecture and system design documentation for development and infrastructure teams.
- Lead the migration process from SQL Server to PostgreSQL, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Research and evaluate new database technologies to incorporate into future projects.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for multiple projects.
- 2-3 years of experience designing and implementing PostgreSQL database schemas, with expertise in ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Proven track record in managing complex database migrations, particularly from SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant databases on both Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with a focus on tuning and optimizing database performance.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective cross-functional team collaboration. Experience with .NET programming is a plus. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
