The Video Editor is responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into a finished product that matches the project’s vision, tone, and message. This role involves working closely with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure that the video content meets the highest creative standards and is tailored for different platforms and audiences.
I. Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage to create a cohesive and engaging final product. This includes cutting, trimming, arranging scenes, and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Storytelling: Craft a compelling narrative by structuring video content in a way that communicates the desired message or story effectively.
- Visual Effects & Graphics: Add visual effects, motion graphics, text overlays, and other elements to enhance the video and make it more dynamic and informative.
- Sound Design: Edit and balance audio, add background music, sound effects, voiceovers, and ensure the sound quality is clear and well synchronized with the video.
- Color Correction & Grading: Adjust color tones, brightness, contrast, and other visual elements to enhance the overall look of the video and ensure consistency across scenes.
- Content Optimization: Format and optimize video content for various platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), ensuring proper aspect ratios, file sizes, and resolutions.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proof videos to ensure that all technical and creative requirements are met, including video resolution, audio clarity, and alignment with the project’s goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Account, Design, Copy) to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Proficiency in Editing Software: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard tools.
- Motion Graphics & Visual Effects: Experience with software like Adobe After Effects or similar for creating motion graphics and special effects.
- Sound Editing: Familiarity with sound editing tools such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or enhance audio quality and sync with video.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on the small details in both the audio and visual aspects of a project to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Creativity & Storytelling: Ability to bring creative ideas to life and structure video content in an engaging and impactful way.
- Time Management: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines, and maintaining productivity without compromising quality.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with team members and stakeholders, understanding and interpreting project needs.
- Salary: 10,000,000/month – 12,000,000/month.
