How does your job as Variety Specialist at Rijk Zwaan Vietnam look like?
As Variety Specialist you are an integral part of our Breeding team, with specific responsibility for conducting trials of specific lowland crops with detailed description of varieties and collection of market and variety information from the South area. Your work will adhere to the standards of the breeding department and company policies, contributing to product development. You share knowledge about the product and variety value, as well as market insights; collaborate closely with the growers, sales and product development team, chain specialist, trial team, crop specialists and breeders. Also, you organize the breeding trials and participate at product development activities on business needs. This entails the following:
• Developing and maintaining the strong relationships and effective communication with the relevant stakeholders
• Acquiring a deep understanding of current and future needs from grower's perspective
• Serving as contact person between the Vietnamese trial team and breeding team of Rijk ZwaanYour contribution:
You are a strong communicator with a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm. As a proactive collaborator you are resourceful, and you support the breeders in developing new crop varieties. With your crop and market insight, social skills and team mentality you can establish and strongly maintain good relationships with the growers and other stakeholders. Given the nature of this position, you are open to travel, and you also speak English fluently. In addition, we can find the following on your resume:
• A completed bachelor or master degree, in the field of Agriculture or relevant
• At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of and experience with data analysis and reporting
• Preferably knowledge of and experience with operating in an international environment
What can you expect from us?
As Variety Specialist you will be part of the team of Rijk Zwaan Vietnam. The team consists of Product Development Specialist, Trial Assistant and Co-ordinator, Crop Specialist... colleagues who are working together to develop new varieties for our customers. We have our own Trial Station in Da Lat and our office in HCMC. The Variety Specialist will play an important role in developing new crop varieties which well meet the consumer and market needs, and contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success in Vietnam.
