As a Backend Engineer at Everfit, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure behind our AI-powered fitness coaching platform. Your contributions will directly support coaches and users around the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and help evolve our microservices architecture.
• Translate business and customer needs into reliable, high-performance applications.
• Collaborate closely with a small, agile team through scrum rituals, prototyping, and code reviews.
• Contribute to the overall architecture, scalability, and quality of our backend systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience working with Node.js (ES6).
• Intermediate English communication skills - you're willing to grow with us.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
• Experienced with Express.js, MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with unit testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha, and passionate about code quality.
• Able to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

[Nice to have]

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS).
• Familiar with authentication/authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT)
