Job Description

This job refers to our Automotive brands, Autoscout24 and Motoscout24. We are journeying to simplify our products and strengthen our technology stack through a large-scale rewrite. We’re building on a modern technology stack with Java, following best practices, and striving to build/measure/learn at a high cadence. Your Mission :

• Work as part of an agile team:
• Be the voice of QA during agile ceremonies. Autonomously drive the testing life cycle to ensure quality from medium to large size features while reducing the system's tech debt or legacy issues in assigned projects
• Collaborate with agile teams to ship valuable product increments.
• Actively participate in ticket refinement/grooming by bringing up unforeseen scenarios and use cases.
• Perform thorough functionality tests:
• Review acceptance criteria, developer notes, and design documents to formulate test cases.
• Test domain-driven web referencing database-heavy back-end systems and check the consistency across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
• Conduct periodic exploratory testing in test environments.
• Be responsible for product quality:
• Work with the engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
• Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc., during test planning meetings.
• Support Bug Triage process:
• Reproduces bugs and isolates problems and verifies fixes.
• Report any bugs/defects found in a clear, friendly, and easily reproducible manner.
• Keep track of incidents, does deep root cause analysis followed by recommended action items.
• Track defects and helps troubleshoot errors.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the ride?

• 4+ years’ experience in the same role.
• Good hands-on experience in:
• API testing using Postman for REST-based designs.
• Testing UI responsive web application (preferably React).
• Database testing (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
• A pragmatic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the product’s quality.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and an Agile mindset.
• Willing to take on new challenges proactively.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Understanding of automation testing concepts or ability to do automation testing (e.g., Cypress).
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript).
• Experience with mobile testing (iOS and/or Android).
• Familiarity with security testing principles.
