Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be proficient in accounting software, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be proficient in accounting software, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle General Ledger and post the relevant entries into accounting software
- Manage month-end closing and ensure the month is closed on time
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare balance sheets schedules and ensure they reconcile with the balance sheet
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Perform financial analysis and reports as required
- Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretary, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Provide financial insights and support to management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.)
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting
- At least 1 year of experience with financial planning and analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) preferred & MISA
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
