Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize the electromagnetic structure of electric motors, including stator, rotor, slots, windings, and magnetic materials.
• Perform 2D/3D electromagnetic finite element simulations to analyze characteristics of the EM
• Conduct coupled electromagnetic–thermal simulations to evaluate temperature distribution and thermal limits
• Develop and maintain simulation workflows using ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, ANSYS Mechanical/Fluent.
• Collaborate closely with Motor Control Engineers to provide accurate motor models.
• Correlate simulation results with experimental and test data, refine models, and continuously improve motor designs.
• Document design assumptions, simulation results, and design guidelines for future motor platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Control Engineering.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of Electromagnetics and magnetic field theory, Electric machines and electric motors, Motor control principles.
• Hands-on experience with finite element simulation tools for motor design ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, COMSOL Multiphysics (Proficiency in ANSYS Maxwell and Motor-CAD is a strong advantage)
• Understanding of real-world effects such as magnetic saturation, core losses, thermal coupling, and material non-linearities.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in motor design for robotics, humanoid robots, cobots, servo drives, or electric vehicles.
• Experience with multi-physics simulations (electromagnetic–thermal–mechanical).
