Trong giao tiếp tiếng Anh hàng ngày, “As…As” mang ý nghĩa là “Giống ai, giống cái gì” và thường được sử dụng với mục đích so sánh 2 đối tượng, sự vật, sự việc với nhau. Cấu trúc “as + adj/adv + as” để thể hiện sự so sánh giữa những sự vật, sự việc có sự giống nhau trong một số trường hợp giao tiếp.
Một số cấu trúc as as thường được sử dụng là: “as far as, as well as, as long as,...” Những cấu trúc này về cơ bản mang ý nghĩa khá giống nhau mặc dù cách viết và cấu tạo khác nhau. Vì vậy, thí sinh hãy lưu ý và tránh để bị mắc lừa trong một số bài thi TOEIC.
Cấu trúc As as có nghĩa là “giống/như”, thường sử dụng để so sánh người hay sự vật, hiện tượng này với người hay sự vật, tượng khác trong ngữ cảnh nhất định. Ví dụ:
As được sử dụng như một giới từ hoặc một liên từ trong tiếng Anh. Ví dụ:

So sánh người/sự việc này hơn gấp mấy lần so với người/sự việc khác. |
