Necessary là gì?

• Necessary là một tính từ trong tiếng Anh mang nghĩa là “quan trọng, cần thiết”.
• Chúng ta có thể sử dụng cấu trúc It is necessary để nói một cách gián tiếp.

Ví dụ: 

• Communication skill is really necessary. (Kỹ năng giao tiếp là rất cần thiết.) 
• It is necessary to learn Math. (Cần phải học tiếng Toán đó.) 
• If it is necessary, we can change the content of meeting today. (Nếu cần thiết thì chúng tôi có thể đổi nội dung của cuộc họp hôm nay.) 
• Is it really necessary for Jenny to do that? (Có thực sự cần thiết để Jenny phải làm thế không?) 
• Peter is in a hurry so he won’t be staying any longer than necessary. (Peter đang vội nên anh ấy sẽ không ở lại lâu hơn cần thiết đâu.) 

Cấu trúc It is necessary trong tiếng Anh

Cấu trúc It is necessary trong tiếng Anh là một cấu trúc giả định, thường được sử dụng để nói tới những điều cần thiết và quan trọng.

Công thức cấu trúc It is nescessary như sau:

It is necessary (+ for somebody) + to do something

It is necessary + that + S + V

Cấu trúc It is necessary that ở trên có ý nghĩa là: ai đó cần làm gì. Ví dụ:

• It is necessary to do homework everyday. (Cần phải làm bài tập về nhà hàng ngày.) 
• It is necessary for Peter to eat more beef. (Peter cần phải ăn nhiều thịt bò hơn.) 
• Is it necessary that my mother sign this form? (Có cần thiết mẹ tôi phải ký vào tờ đơn này không?) 

Cấu trúc sử dụng danh từ Necessaries

Necessary có danh từ là Necessaries mang ý nghĩa là “đồ dùng cần thiết” hay “nhu yếu phẩm”. Vì là bản thân Necessaries là một danh từ nên nó giữ vị trí và chức năng của một danh từ trong câu. Ví dụ:

• • John is preparing the necessaries for the business trip. (John đang chuẩn bị những thứ cần thiết cho chuyến công tác.)
  • All the necessaries are in my bag. (Tất cả những thứ cần thiết đều có trong cặp của tôi.)

Ngoài ra, danh từ Necessaries còn có idiom thường gặp đó là “a necessary evil” dùng dể diễn tả một điều tồi tệ hoặc một điều bạn không thích nhưng vẫn phải chấp nhận vì lý do nào đó. Ví dụ:

• • Unemployment is regarded as a necessary evil in the fight against inflation in the country. (Thất nghiệp là một yếu tố trọng yếu trọng cuộc chiến trống lạm phát của quốc gia này.)

Lưu ý khi dùng cấu trúc It is necessary

Cấu trúc It is necessary thật dễ dàng phải không nào? Tuy nhiên bạn cần có một lưu ý nhỏ rằng Necessary là tính từ nhưng Necessaries sẽ là danh từ đó nha. Đặc biệt, danh từ này luôn ở dạng số nhiều. Ví dụ: 

• Peter brings water, a compass, and a map – all the necessaries to go to the forest. (Peter mang theo nước, la bàn và bản đồ – tất cả các thứ cần thiết để đi vào rừng.)
• The campaign provided homeless people with necessaries. (Chiến dịch này đã cung cấp cho người vô gia cư những nhu yếu phẩm.)
