In current times, we can read about and view images of artistically, culturally and historically significant works from anywhere with an internet connection. Some people believe that the advent of the internet has made the existence of art galleries and public museums obsolete. I personally disagree, and my view will be explained in this essay.

The internet has brought us the ability to search for information and images about most things we consider to be historically or culturally significant. This information can be found by using search engines like Google; video streaming sites like YouTube; or regular information websites such as Wikipedia. Some people claim that to obtain information about art, history or culture through one of these channels provides us with sufficient understanding of that particular topic. Therefore, we no longer need museums and galleries. However, I believe the information regarding an object is different from the experience of being in the presence of the object itself. This experience is unique and should be preserved.

Furthermore, the designs of museums and art galleries are usually based on a country’s architectural style. People can enjoy viewing art works and artifacts and learning about the history and art of the country they are visiting while admiring the grandeur of these places. Millions of people visit The Louvre Museum every year not just because it exhibits a huge collection of priceless national masterpieces but also because it is a prime example of the aesthetic appeal of French architecture.

Information about almost any work of art or historical object can be found on the internet today. However, the experience of knowing about something and the experience of being in the presence of that thing are two different ideas. I believe both of them are important and therefore museums and galleries are still needed.

In the recent times, the only way to see pieces of art or historical artefacts was by visiting public museums and galleries. Nowadays, people can admire them on the internet. Group of people consider that such public places like galleries will not be need because of the internet. I disagree with this opionion, such places as galleries and museums should exist for financial and entertainment reasons.

To begin with, using Internet is only possible to look at museum objects with the eye of the camera and this method can not give a full experience of sightseeing. Technological items' quality is not good enough to catch every detail of works of art. Take my trip to the Louvre for example, the famous Mona Lisa picture was quite different in real life than it was when I had saw it online. In the art gallery, i was able to see even the texture of paints, which was enabled to admire on the computer. As a result of increase in the online museum visitors, the art pieces will become less impresing for people. In conclusion, the only way to fully enjoy historical or artistic artefacts is by seeing them personally.

Another reason for museums and art galleries to exist is to keep the art pieces in good condition. Objects that are quite old need good conservation to keep their beauty. For instance, when visitors pay for entry tickets, a great amount of their money is used to clean and preserve paintings. Without regularly dusting and keeping them in the special glass box they will break down. To conclude without public museums there could be not enough money to keep art alive.

To summarise, the place like art galleries or museums will be needed to exsist.  They give people full experience of admiring art and history. In addition, seeing these pieces personally are making able to keep them in the same condition for many years.

Understanding history has sparker a heated debate. While i accept that people can use a computer to search for information about history, but i also believe that public museums and art galleries play an important role for learning historical lessons.

On the one hand, there are a couple of vital reasons why i agree that about history on the Internet. Firstly, in this day and age, there is a lot of information about many fields, one of these is historical field. This is lead to users can easily find historical stories about their country, which they do not need go to museum. Secondly, for busy people who can not spend their time going to local museum just use computer or electric devices to access to the Internet to see many historical objects and works. For example, students who learn in school all day can easily search for history on the Internet to expanding understand.

On the other hand, i am conviced that public museums and art galleries are necessary for residents. First and foremost, museums are places where people can feel the pain of the past most clearly on the grounds that real historical sites are displayed in museums. For example, Vietnam is a nation that  endures the long wars in the past, when citizens come to museum displays wartime artifacts, they will true feeling. In addition, in spite of the complexity of the web, the museums and art galleries are the trusest and they are the most factual source of knowlege.

In conclusion, although computers or electric devices can replace the museums in searching for historical objects and works, it seems to me that the public museums and art galleries still play an important role with people's life to understand history.

Following  the rapid development of technology, artistic works and historical remnants can now be viewed online. Accordingly, it is argued that  there is room for public museums and art galleries in the present. In my opinion, memorial houses and art galleries are irreplaceable.

On the one hand, online museums offer us a great deal of benefits.  Internet users are exposed to a vast amount of information about historical events and images of works of artists with a few simple clicks. Furthermore, with the development of scanning technology, people are enabled to dig deep into the texture of paintings, which is impossible to complete by the naked eye. Moreover, online studios provide the customer with significant services that cannot be found in real ones. For instance, there are no opening time restrictions, no entrance tickets and unlimited information data.

On the other hand, exhibition rooms play a vital role in our lives. Display rooms supply visitors with first-hand experience so that they can contemplate artistic masterpieces by the five senses as well as be immersed in the atmosphere of historical events and people. To illustrate, an interactive toy exhibited in Singapore can perform tricks. Therefore, computers are poor alternatives to museums. Besides, the existence of invaluable artefacts and artistic creations is the expression of diversity in human society, nurturing the beauty of life. Were there no places to store historical items and drawing works, with the increase in globalization, inhabitants would seek their origins in desperation and nothing could break the monotony?

In conclusion, online studios cannot replace the presence of museums and galleries. For that reason, I disagree with the view given.

With the explosive advancement of technology, nowadays people can find information on the Internet without any struggle, therefore, many people believe that public museums and art galleries are no longer required in this era. From my point of view, I strongly disagree with this statement, and the following essay is going to strengthen my point.

To begin with, observing online pictures of relics and paintings through the Internet could not bring the same atmosphere as going to museums or exhibitions. This is due to the fact that when visiting these locations, people can have an immersive experience of being surrounded by exquisite paintings and sculptures, as well as seeing the remnants of the past in a close distance, helping them to have a deeper insight into the living conditions of their ancestors. Taking Hoa Lo Prison Relic as an example, which has been redesigned into a place where the young can visit to learn about the hardship that their forefathers had to endure to bring peace and prosperity to their homeland.

Furthermore, occasionally the details found on the Internet about a historic event or piece of art can sometimes be inaccurate. To put it in a simple way, on several occasions, the name of the artist could be placed under the wrong painting, or sometimes a photo of an event could stray to the description of another crucial one, thus creating misunderstanding which would put learners at a disadvantage in the long run. For example, a picture of a soldier could be put on display, however, the description of him and his gear could be false, either about the name or the time period in which it was employed, as the writer did not research thoroughly. Hence, visiting museums and exhibitions can provide history learners with verified information through reliable sources.

In conclusion, due to the benefits that museums and art galleries offer, which are the opportunities to learn about the past and provide reliable knowledge about history, I believe they will not face the risk of disappearance in the future.

There is an argument claiming exhibitions and archives are not required anymore to demonstrate artists’ works since anyone can see them on the Internet. In my view, the virtual version is not an extensive illustration of the real product. Additionally, expositions are valuable tourist attractions. This essay intends to elaborate on the mentioned reasons and explain why I oppose  the argued notion.

The photo of an artwork does not comprehensively demonstrate its ingenuity, especially if the picture is two-dimensional. A professional would need to examine a composition from different angles, in various lighting to evaluate it. Besides, with the advancement of technology, soon, it will be too hard to distinguish mankind’s product from the output of a computer on the web. For instance, there are Artificial Intelligence algorithms that are capable of generating high-quality paintings. In many cases, an amateur is not able to differentiate them from an artist’s work. Thus, in today’s world, art galleries will be even more appreciated as places where reality is assured.

Moreover, museums are considered  tourist attractions and therefore have a significant financial profit. When visitors go to these facilities, they often purchase food and other items in the neighbourhood. As an effect, not only the museum but also the nearby businesses benefit from the expositions. As an example, so many travellers travel to Paris every year to visit the Louvre Museum and other art galleries. As a result, the city has a huge income from tourism.

In short, expositions are great places to present artworks in optimum conditions, and they are profitable as alluring sites for visitors. Given these points, I do not consider online pictures as proficient substitutes for exhibitions.
