When it comes to a technological device that I use more than often, I would say it’s my Sony headphones. It’s a circumaural type that covers the whole ears in order to prevent sound leakage. I think I’ve had this device for about one year. Actually, these headphones were quite pricy, so it took me a considerable amount of courage to spend a month of my income to own one.

From the outside, the headphones have a typical look with a plastic cover in full black, but the plain design doesn’t make the gadget less valuable. Honestly, I bought it because it had the best noise – canceling technology at the time that blocks all the noises at the back. Thus, sometimes, I can gain better focus when studying.

Moreover, apart from using it for educational purposes, the headphones also support hi-resolution audio, which sufficiently satisfies a music lover like me when I can enjoy the supreme quality of songs every day. One thing that I like the most about this product is that it has an equalizer that adjusts the sound fit to my preference. As a result, whether I want to listen to the vocal of the singer’s vocals crystal clear or fully appreciate the pounding bass is not a problem anymore.

Another excellent function of the headphones is the touch sensor enabling me to swipe the right ear to raise the volume or switch to other songs without using the phone.

To conclude, I think this device is worth the investment as it gives marvelous musical experiences.

Từ vựng:

  • Circumaural (adj): trùm tai
  • noise – canceling (adj): chống ồn
  • hi-resolution audio (n): âm thanh độ phân giải cao
  • Supreme (adj): tốt
  • Equalizer (n): bộ cân bằng
  • crystal clear: rất rõ ràng
  • Pounding (adj): thình thịch, đập liên hồi
  • Touch sensor (n): cảm biến chạm

Science has made human life comfortable. With the advancement of age, we have started reaping the benefits of the past inventions and discovered technology, and marching towards an advanced and digitised world. Thereby, we are surrounded by electronic equipment almost everywhere regardless of home or working stations.

I have a desktop computer at my home with the latest configuration. It is the most important and valuable thing for me when I am at home. It helps me in different ways. When I get back home from work, I play songs on the computer. Sometimes I and my wife watch thrilling movies too on the computer. It has become an essential part of my life. I also use the electronic equipment for many other purposes and use the sophisticated applications made for various purposes. Mostly I play different video games on the computer during my holidays and y wife uses it for editing photographs. It is truly useful equipment for me and my family.

But learning to run the applications were not so easy for me as it is today. Now I can perform some extraordinary tasks on the computer. I can edit photos using photo editing software, write anything on the word writing applications like Ms Word, make presentations for my office using PowerPoint, analyse numerous data using data analysis software and more others tasks. I took admission at a training school where I mastered the skills. Now I am also able to edit photos or create images and give them shapes after needs with the editing applications. All I learnt from the training school and took a six-month training there. In the beginning, I made silly mistakes to run the applications but now I am highly skilled in running those and even I do not need to check the keyboard if I am pressing the right key.

I had to buy the computer for my wife in 2014 as she is a wildlife photographer, captures still pictures of the animals and needs to edit those before submitting to different agencies. Although she has a small laptop, she is uncomfortable to work with the equipment and thus I had to buy the computer. The computer owns a higher configuration and allows running almost all the heavy, available and complicated applications. It works at an unimaginable speed. Moreover, after having the computer, I have learnt its use which I was ignorant before. By the span of a year, I have turned into an expert.

The computer is greatly helpful for me and my wife as well. Both of us use the electronic equipment to meet our daily needs. Most of the time of the day, my wife uses the machine to edit her captured wildlife images from different parts of the earth. Besides, I make logical and beautiful presentations to be presented to my office while taking any important decisions. Thereby, I am highly benefitted by the applications. Sometimes I am assigned from the office to design some logos or banners for specific events to be printed, I make them at home which has a great role in my career development. Moreover, this is the age of communication and I browse social networking websites using the computer to reach my other family members or friends. I prefer computer rather than cellular phones to browse the internet. The large screen is really enjoying.

Câu trả lời mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 3 chủ đề: Smartphone

1. When should parents allow their children to have a phone?

Personally, from primary school, parents should let their children use a feature phone so that they can make emergency calls as well as stay in touch with their peers. When the offspring step into the next stage, secondary school, they should be introduced to smartphones as I believe that they are likely to use even more cutting edge technology in the future to work.

Getting them to understand how to use it efficiently and apply the conveniences in their study will be the solid foundation for their future career.

      • Feature phone (n): điện thoại phổ thông (chỉ để nghe gọi)
      • Peer (n): bạn học
      • Cutting edge (adj): tân tiến
      • Convenience (n): tiện ích
      • Solid (adj): vững chắc
      • Foundation (n): nên tảng

2. Can phones be disruptive sometimes?

From what I have seen, there is a common occurrence that after around 4 to 5 years of usage, phones would have a few bugs. The most discernible one is that the phone would have a worn out battery. It may shut down at anytime that the user cannot predict. Another issue is that the biometric system will not be as sensitive as it was in the original state. To me, it’s a sign that people should purchase a new.

      • Occurrence (n): sự việc
      • Bug (n): lỗi hệ thống
      • Worn out battery (n phr): chai pin
      • Biometric (adj): sinh trắc học

3. Are people often impolite while using their phone?

There are sure people who do not have certain social etiquette when they use their phone. For instance, shouting at the phone in an elevator could be considered as the public enemy number one. Sometimes, there are cases when people too drawn into their phones, they will accidentally make somebody tumble. However, I think these situations are rare.

  • Social etiquette (n): phép xã giao
  • Public enemy number one (n): điều khiến người khác khó chịu
  • Drawn into sth (adj): bị thu hút
  • Tumble (v): ngã
  • Rare (adj): hiếm
