We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to be Head Chinese Desk working at Bangkok Bank PCL, Hanoi Branch. This role will primarily focus on approaching and expanding our Chinese corporate credit customer base. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship and understanding of the Chinese corporate market, along with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the region. As part of the Chinese Desk, the individual will help drive business growth and strengthen our presence within the Chinese corporate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Identify and approach potential Chinese corporate clients in various industries who establish/will establish business in Viet Nam, offering tailored corporate credit solutions to meet their financial needs.
• Market Expansion: Expand the client base through proactive networking, relationship-building, and strategic partnerships within the Chinese business community.
• Credit Analysis: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients by reviewing financial statements, assessing risk, and providing recommendations on credit limits and terms.
• Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective Chinese corporate clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and trust.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as risk management, credit acceptance, compliance to ensure smooth onboarding and credit approval processes.
• Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the corporate credit space to provide insightful feedback and maintain a competitive edge.

Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development activities, client engagement, and sales performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in corporate banking, business development, or credit management, ideally with a focus on Chinese corporate clients.
• Strong understanding of the Chinese corporate landscape and the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients.
• Having good relationship with Chinese corporate clients who establish/will establish business in Viet Nam.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) and English is required.
• Chinese nationality
• Strong financial analysis skills and a sound understanding of corporate credit risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
