Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, manage audits, handle tax requirements, and support strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee Financial Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including overseeing bank loans, foreign exchange transactions, accounts payable/receivable, the general ledger, and financial reporting.
2. Ensure Compliance: Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
4. Audit and Tax Compliance: Coordinate with internal/external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies for audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
5. Strategic Financial Planning: Advise on long-term financial planning, capital asset management, and cost control.
6. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

• Chief Accountant Certificate, professional accounting certifications (CAP, CPA, ACCA, CFA) or proficiency in using Kingdee accounting software prefered.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, Controller, or Head of Accounting in a multinational corporation (MNC).

Knowledge, Skills, & Behaviors

• Knowledge of Vietnamese legal and tax legislation.
• Preference will be given to candidates proficient in English or Chinese, as the role requires working with and reporting to a Finance Manager who is Chinese.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving skills, and integrity.
