1, Job description:

As a Data Engineer at Ondi, you will be responsible for:

Designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports game development and operations 

- Tackling the size and complexity of mobile game data — offering exciting challenges for data enthusiasts 

- Overseeing the entire data lifecycle, including: 

• Initial data collection 

• ETL process design and optimization 

• Data warehouse development and scaling 

• Ensuring robust monitoring, validation, and performance of data pipelines  

• In addition, your responsibilities include:

Designing and optimizing scalable ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data to support insights use cases 

- Independently coding and providing optimizations where applicable 

- Architecting and implementing robust, maintainable, and high-performance data solutions 

- Ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) 

- Automating workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve processing efficiency 

- Optimizing query performance and resolving pipeline bottlenecks to enhance data accessibility 

- Evaluating and adopting new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to advance data engineering 

- Supporting cost optimization through scalable and efficient data solutions 

2, Qualifications:

• You have 2+ years’ work experience organizing and analyzing large datasets 
• You are familiar with SQL, Hive, or other querying languages
• You are familiar with some of these technical stacks: Python, Java, Shell scripting, Kafka, Airflow, Spark, Storm, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau and Looker
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
• Expertise in designing efficient and scalable data models with large data sets across multiple teams and in collaboration with insights or data stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and product teams.

Nice to have:

• Good understanding of the mobile app/mobile-game industry is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning is also advantageous.
