What You’ll Be Doing
- Count and measure how much material (with quantities and types) will need to go into a project as required to build a designed structure of a house in USA, and meet client needs and specifications.
- Having and applying knowledge of residential estimation practices and standards.
- Work in a team environment, take direction and collaborate in meetings.
- Providing an above-average level of customer service to all customers (internal and external).
- Developing and maintaining moderate productivity speed, quality control, and accuracy on projects.
- Exposure to client communication through email and conference calls.
- Training new team members in software functionality and client standards.
- Exposure to basic Pipeline functions and theories.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
If you can do everything listed above, you have what it takes. Some of the following would be helpful too:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Construction Materials
- Ability to read/interpret and familiar with Construction Drawings.
- Ability to perform taking-off quantity from designed drawings. Sharp and like to work with numbers, have logical thinking, and can categorize things by type.
- High attention to detail with a high level of cognitive skills.
- Knowledge about Wood House structure, detail of Wood House Framing
- English skills equivalent to TOEIC 550 or higher. Good at communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Being familiar with an Estimating software or Excel is a plus. We are now using the Planswift software for work.
- Personal time management skills for meeting established deadlines.
- Be able to work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn and absorb new things, customer focus and result oriented
- Integrity and carefulness
