Student Identification & Case Management:
Coordinate the identification of students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or disabilities.
Maintain up-to-date records and profiles for all students on the SEN register.
Conduct or coordinate initial assessments and support documentation of needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
In-Class and Pull-Out Support
Work directly with students in small group or individual sessions to address specific learning needs (pull-out model).
Provide in-class support for key students where needed and advise teachers on inclusive strategies.
Collaborate with subject teachers to differentiate materials and assessments.
Teacher Collaboration & Training
Support and guide teachers in applying inclusive and differentiated teaching strategies.
Deliver or coordinate CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for teachers and staff on inclusive education and SEN strategies.
Monitor and review classroom practices to ensure effective implementation of accommodations and modifications.
Parent Communication & Reporting
Maintain regular and professional communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and support strategies.
Arrange and lead case conferences or IEP review meetings with parents and staff.
Provide reports and updates as part of the school's academic tracking or reporting systems.
Liaison and Compliance
Work with school leaders to ensure SEN support is aligned with local regulations, MOET guidelines, and any relevant international frameworks (e.g., COBIS, CIS).
Liaise with external specialists (psychologists, therapists, etc.) as needed for diagnostic assessments or additional services
Contribute to school policies and safeguarding protocols as related to SEN provision.Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education or a related field (required)
Further qualifications in SEN, inclusive education, or educational psychology (preferred).
At least 3 years of teaching or student support experience, with a focus on inclusive or special education
Experience working in bilingual or international school settings is a plus.
Strong understanding of SEN principles and inclusive pedagogy.
Organisational and record-keeping abilities
Ability to analyse student needs and design practical interventions.
