To audit charges to City Ledger and credit card companies before forwarding the to the Accountants Receivable section obtain, date-stamp and file copies of all documents which support authorized purchases for future matching to invoices.
To audit daily Rooms (compare between Room Status report and Housekeeping Attendants Room Status Report), Food and Beverage revenue summaries and their supporting transaction reports of the Night Audit Process
To audit revenues from telephone, telex and facsimile, unless these are automatically linked to the computer for billing
To audit revenues from Other Operated Departments such as Recreation, Transportations, Pro-Shops, Laundry and Business Centre for completeness
To ensure that all of the day’s Banquet revenue has been recorded
To audit the daily General Cashier’s Report against recorded cash movements
To verify that the computerized Daily Report reflects completely all of the day’s transactions
To review paid-outs and allowance vouchers for reasonableness, proper approval and supporting documentation
To verify supports for complimentary and house use rooms and for room charged at rates varying from the rack potential
To spot check the accuracy of ‘regular’ and ‘contractual’ room rates in the system
To review all house, use and entertainment checks for propriety and ensure that they are signed and authorized
To investigate late charges and skippers. All details should be forwarded to the Credit Manager for further action
To ensure that all employee City Ledger accounts are closed at month end
To carry out surprise checks of rooms, health club attendances and laundry (if hotel provides an outside service)
To carry out surprise cash counts of cashier’s floats
To carry out surprise foreign currency counts
To monitor the organized execution of the night audit program by Front Office personnel

Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and the manager
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public
Assist in the development of the Hotel business plan and ensure an overall understanding of its departmental goals and objectives
Attends work on time as scheduled
Follows safety and security rules and procedures

- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in hospitality preferred
- Two years experience in similar position at the International Five Start Hotel Brand.
- Interpersonal skills and Computer skills such as Opera system, Sun System, Material Control, Excel and Words.
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
