* Team and Role Introduction:
The HSSE Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, security, and environmental policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all employees within our e-commerce last mile delivery company. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, driving continuous improvement in HSSE performance, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
* Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee HSSE programs and initiatives that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards; recommend and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor compliance with HSSE standards and regulations, and ensure all HSSE policies are up-to-date and adhered to.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for HSSE-related incidents.
- Facilitate HSSE training programs for employees and ensure that all team members are aware of their HSSE responsibilities.
- Oversee the management of waste, emissions, and other environmental aspects to minimize the ecological footprint of operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSSE best practices into day-to-day operations and project planning.
- Manage emergency response plans and procedures, including drills and preparedness training.
- Liaise with external parties, such as regulatory agencies and external auditors, to effectively communicate HSSE matters.
- Regularly report HSSE performance metrics to senior management and provide guidance on continuous improvement strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging HSSE trends, technologies, and legislation to proactively adapt strategies and maintain compliance.

* Requirements/Qualifications (must have):
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSSE role, preferably within the logistics, e-commerce, or last mile delivery industry.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal HSSE regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HSSE programs and initiatives.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
