What you will be doing:

Building and maintaining tools to streamline various aspects of the engineering operations
Mentoring & guiding other engineers in best practices, thought leadership, & career development
Contribute clean, clear, high-quality production code
Performance testing and stress simulations of production environments
Monitor system health to reduce detection time and provision disaster recovery systems to reduce response time
Enforce security by design philosophy and implement safeguards at every phase of development
Automate repetitive tasks involving deployment, maintenance and reporting
Measure performance to expose new weaknesses in the infrastructure
Review costs regularly with management and strategize changes to the infrastructure to meet product and scaling goals

Work on a market-leading product and experience first hand the impact of robust and clever DevOps practices in an efficient team
Building mechanisms to remain two steps ahead of the product need and NOT just support the status quo
Revel in the technology culture and develop awesome ideas with highly experienced DevOps and backend engineers
Develop vast in-depth knowledge and first hand experience of the latest DevOps technologies
Work on experimental projects before they go into mission critical production systems

Your Skills And Experience

Must have:

Planned and developed your development team's CI/CD process
First-hand experience in container development and orchestration
Extensive knowledge in AWS, Alibaba Cloud or GCP
Comfortable in Linux and scripting languages like Python
Experience managing helm charts in Kubernetes
Experience writing code within the context of a web-based framework such as Rails or Node along with an ORM.

Nice to have:

Managed infrastructure as code with experience using Terraform or similar tools
Cloud Certification
Built a comprehensive monitoring framework for a large application
Gone through infrastructure audits for compliance such as in ISO 27001 or SOC 2
Managed a tech product used by millions of users
