We are looking for an experienced machine learning engineer to join our growing Big Data & AI team. At MoMo, we make AI/Machine Learning the core component to almost every part of the product – product recommendation, personalization, conversational AI, eKYC, risk scoring, fraud detection, promotion targeting and financial services. In this Senior AI Engineer role you will lead the machine learning development for an internal LLM application that automates tasks across multiple departments.

What you will do

Own the performance and accuracy metrics of the LLM and other ML models in the application.
Research, implement and evaluate different approaches (turning, RAG, prompt engineering etc) and bring the most suitable solution to production.
Work cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, product owners and other users to align ML objectives with user value.
Write high-quality production code as you build and maintain robust, scalable machine learning systems.
Mentor other team members and experiment with new advances in machine learning to improve the team’s technical capabilities.

What you will need

5+ years of experience years relevant professional experience in Natural Language Understanding, Deep Learning.
Experience with LLMs (such as BERT, OpenAI GPT, Llama3, Qwen2) or comparable large transformer-based models including finetuning and inference optimization.
Experience with implementation and evaluation of new machine learning architectures and techniques.
Experience building production-ready ML systems, from preprocessing and normalization to model maintenance in production environments.
Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow and strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
Being proactive and responsible for the performance and accuracy of the ML systems you own.
