JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for creating technical solutions from sample to bulk to achieve Design aesthetic, product quality standards, and IMU targets for products that require wet or dry processing. Focus on denim and woven, plus any necessary support on other product categories. The key responsibility will be on bulk production, acts as a technical consultant, and via external communication with agents and suppliers to ensure sustained innovation with regard to garment processing while still maintaining product quality, cost and on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactively identify garment processing options to support design intent, control cost, quality and on-time delivery.
• Investigate better methods to match desired targets.
• Regular bulk wash review and advise solution to improve wash issues.
• New wash development for the Design Team.
• Solve wash issue called out by vendor.
• Preview/Approve of Silver tag, bronze tag, and TOP.
• Carryout denim risk analysis - With key vendors to identify production and quality risks and to take precaution.
• Laundry evaluation; issue report and follow up on improvement CAP.
• Check laundry facility on each visit to ensure workable environment at all times.
• Quality inspection management - check laundries' SOP regarding daily in-house quality lab testing.
• Fabric Master Shade Approval – Liaise with fabric manager on platform fabric to bulk; assist the design & production on decision making.
• Investigate fabric quality issues and provide solution to tackle problem by working with supervision.
• Denim SOP implementation & EIM/ WLP (Water Leadership Program) verification against bulk washing.
• Support sustainable development regarding machineries, chemicals, and management system.
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Textiles, Chemistry or related fields.
• 5-7 years' textile and laundry finishing experience.
• Experience working directly with design to support the creative process.
• Experience working with laundries globally and able to translate developments into production.
• Must be able to write and interpret wash formulas.
• Collaborative team member with the ability to influence the process.
• Independent thinker able to make correct decisions without direct supervision while in-field.
• Sound in oral & written English.
• Possess effective communication skill.
• Teamwork, innovation, high integrity, work with passion in fashion industry.
• Embraces diversify & actively engages collaboration.

• Salary: $2500 – 3500 USD Gross.
