Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join Smartdev. This role focuses on managing the end-to-end accounts payable process across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate payments, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient cash flow management. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, managing expenses related to our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
• Perform regular reconciliation of supplier statements and manage queries effectively.
• Update and maintain vendor records and payment terms.
• Manage and reconcile corporate credit card expenditures.
• Prepare payments and ensure timely settlement to suppliers globally.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for payments.
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Support month-end closing procedures by providing necessary documentation and reporting.
• Liaise closely with internal departments and international teams to resolve any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with banks and manage cash balances to optimize working capital.
• Comply strictly with company expense policies and internal control procedures.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Other accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within multinational companies.
• Experience with accounting software such as Misa, QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
• Knowledge of accounting standards (VAS/IFRS) and international payment processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (both written and verbal).
• Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures and time zones.
