You Are:
You are a motivated and experienced Software Development Engineer with a passion for Python and a knack for DevOps, CI/CD, and Observability in HPC environments. You thrive in a collaborative setting and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and excellence. With a strong background in computer science and a keen understanding of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms, you are adept at writing high-quality code that meets rigorous software quality criteria. You are also proficient in using version control tools like Git and familiar with developing and maintaining auto-test and regression ecosystems. Your excellent communication skills enable you to work seamlessly with remote teams across different time zones. Additionally, you have a proactive problem-solving capability and a quick learning aptitude that allows you to adapt to new IT infrastructure engineering technologies swiftly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop state-of-the-art applications to optimize IT infrastructure and compute environments.
- Continue to refactor and maintain existing applications and infrastructure ecosystems.
- Write quality code and comply with software quality criteria by verifying various tests (unit/feature/integration) to ensure software quality.
- Apply software design principles to ensure software quality, reliability, and scalability in large-scale IT infrastructure.
- Ensure sustainability and performance of applications by working with SRE to define SLI/SLO and providing metrics for monitoring/alerting.
- Collaborate with peers in design, pair programming, and code reviews.
- Stay updated and willing to learn new IT technology and methodologies.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experiences.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in other languages such as Java, C/C++, C# being a plus.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity with Functional Programming, Object-oriented programming, or other programming paradigms.
- Experience in building/maintaining auto-test/regression, and test cases ecosystems/processes to ensure software quality before release/deployment.
- Knowledge of source code version control/code review tools or services like Git, GitLab, GitHub.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
