Position Objectives
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Senior Analytics Engineer with expertise in data analysis, data modelling, and data visualization to join our Asia Regional Team.
This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the data-driven future of our Schools across Asia. The ideal candidate will be a visionary data expert with an unwavering passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making, and driving positive change.
Your contributions as a Senior Analytics Engineer will be directly instrumental in empowering our Schools to achieve their strategic goals. By designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data models, data pipelines, and data visualization solutions, you will ensure the availability of high-quality data that can be leveraged to enhance operational efficiency, improve student outcomes, and optimize resource allocation. Your data-driven insights will inform critical decisions, enabling our Schools to adapt to evolving trends, identify new opportunities, and navigate challenges effectively.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data models to effectively translate business requirements into data structures that support data analysis and decision-making of Schools across Asia.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse data requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs and translating them into comprehensive data models and data pipelines.
Develop and maintain data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and techniques to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data from source systems to the data warehouse.
Implement comprehensive data quality checks, data governance processes, and data security measures to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across the data ecosystem.
Monitor data performance, identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and implement necessary changes to enhance data accessibility, utilization, and security.
Provide data training and support to users, empowering them to effectively access, interpret, and utilize data for informed decision-making.
Apply ML and AI techniques to solve complex data problems, enhance data-driven decision-making, and automate processes.
Develop and deploy ML and AI models into production to automate processes, optimize outcomes, and drive innovation.
Collaborate closely with the Global Data Engineering Team to share best practices, align data strategies, and contribute to the development of global data standards.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, cloud computing, data security, and data visualization to ensure the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and solutions.

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.
