Background and Reason for Hiring

In the era of 'software defined vehicles' Renesas is offering R-Car SoCs family to support high-performance compute demands of ADAS, Infotainment and Gateway applications. With the evolution of autonomous driving and digital transformation (DX), software in the automotive industry is becoming increasingly important; software can exceed 50 million lines or more in each vehicle. Renesas mission is to provide not only semiconductor products but also software development environment and tools to support our customers' product development.

Our team is helping to improve the efficiency of software development by advancing innovations in IDEs and debuggers. For example, by providing a common IDE for SoC and MCU virtual simulators and real devices, we provide a seamless environment for virtual and real debugging. Renesas believes that it is important to break away from the conventional concept of in-vehicle embedded software development and propose and realize a development environment that contributes to the DX of in-vehicle development.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Join e2 studio project debugger project to develop new debugger views to support R-Car SoC for automotive..

- Chance to join future development of Cloud based project for Development Environment.

- Improvement of current implementations.

- Working with small team (2-3 members) to build up a cross-functional team

- Responsible for Project Quality and Delivery.

- Responsible for project Requirement.

- Conduct development through design, coding and testing.

- Conduct code review for any changes from team's developers.

- Technical training for new members.

Must to have

3+ years of experience in software development .

- Fluent in programming language such as Java, C/C++, json, javascript, typescript.

- Teamwork proactive and cross-functional roles.

- English: fluent in writing, reading and verbal communication with Japanese/EU stakeholders.

Nice to have :

- Experience in embedded software development and . Can understand MCU/SoC IP specification

- Understand Scrum/Agile development model.

- Familiar with JIRA/Confluence, Redmine, Gitlab is a plus.
