JOB SUMMARY:
The Chief Security is in charge of Security department and the sole responsible for the department’s operations. The main duty of Chief Security is safeguarding Norfolk Mansion property & assets, guests and employees. Furthermore, the Chief Security observes fire safety & security on premises and fulfills the role of Fire Chief in case of fire emergencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead Security department ensuring Norfolk Mansion premises and property & assets are safe and secure. Furthermore, protect and safeguard guests and employees, as well as their property & assets
2. Detect and deter crimes from being carried out on Norfolk Mansion premises. Deny unauthorized persons access to Norfolk Mansion. Stay alert and sensitive to suspicious situations and individuals, and take preventive action
3. Guide Security staff while on duty, observing and checking staff working performance. Ensure staffs carry out duties in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Take corrective action if necessary
4. Be fully knowledgeable about fire safety procedures outlined in Emergency manual and fulfill the position of Fire Chief in case of fire emergency
5. Conduct regular checks on security situation and employees’ performance outside office hours (e.g. nighttime, week-end, public holidays) using guard patrol system, security cameras and other means
6. Conduct on-the-job and formal training with new Security staff using training checklist
7. Plan and conduct regular training activities related to fire safety (fire-fighting, fire drill, etc.)
8. Enforce discipline and check to ensure employees’ compliance with company and departmental rules and regulations. Issue disciplinary action, if necessary
9. Cooperate with HR dept. recruiting new employees in accordance with departmental manning budget
10. Issue duty roster ensuring each shift is manned sufficiently and all security posts are occupied
