3. Bài mẫu: Describe a time during your education that you really enjoyed
To me, the first year at university was the most beautiful and memorable time of my education. I was 19 years old and studying the English Language at a university in Ha Noi.
Firstly, I was pumped up when I could learn new things like law, presentation, or negotiation skills, as I got bored with such subjects as Maths or Geography in high school. Although these were tough, I could pass the exams with good marks. Moreover, I could widen my social circle as the intensity of university thrust me toward new and like-minded people. Lucky for me, I could meet and be the best friend of four people from different parts of my country.
I also enjoyed that time partly because I could step out of my comfort zone and explore new things. I have to confess that I used to live in a small village on the outskirt of the city center.
And this was the first time I left my parents’ loving arms and tried the first taste of freedom. I had a memory, and it is not even an exaggeration to say that this would be my once-in-a-lifetime experience. I went overnight with my roommate, which I had never done before due to the curfews that my parents had set. Actually, my friend and I just took a trip around Hanoi, then headed for the coffee shop, had a late supper, and went to the flower market during the wee hours.
Although it was a hard sell for me to adapt to the new life and recover from the homesickness, I still cherished this period of time as it marked a new milestone in my maturation.

Câu trả lời mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 3: Education
1. Which one do you think is more important? Practical skills or academic skills?
I would argue that both practical and academic skills have equal importance. Academic skills would provide people with the definition and explanation of complex concepts and theories, while practical skills help them boost their analytical skills and handle real world problems. So, it can be said that the combination of these two skills can help develop a well-rounded individual.
2. Should students be allowed to use computers at school?
Absolutely yes. I would argue that computers can be a great tool for learning, as they can provide students with a wealth of knowledge on the Internet. For example, students can use computers to research topics, create presentations, and collaborate with peers. Plus, using computers at an early age helps children become more tech-savvy – because their typing, words or excel skills can be improved – which would be beneficial in their work later.
- Wealth of knowledge (phr.): lượng lớn kiến thức
- Collaborate (v.): cộng tác
- Tech-savvy (adj.): Am hiểu và thành thạo trong việc sử dụng công nghệ, đặc biệt là máy tính.
3. Are there any rules or laws on your campus?
Yes, some rules have been set on my campus. Two rules that stand out are respecting the rights of others, refraining from disruptive behavior. There are also some laws related to alcohol and drug use, or smoke, which more or less help reduce the crime rate and protect student’s health. I find these rules are essential and appropriate, as they also lead students in my school towards a disciplined life and create a good study environment.
- Refrain (v.): kiềm chế
- Disruptive behavior (noun phr.): hành vi gây rối
- Crime rate (noun): tỉ lệ tội phạm
- Disciplined (adj.): có kỷ luật
