The maps illustrate the changes happening in a local museum and its surrounding area between 1957 and 2007. Overall, the area of the museum building was enlarged with various facilities added; however, the green area around the main building was reduced in size after 50 years.
In 1957, the museum was constructed at the center of a large garden. There was a road in front of the building, on the west of the map. To reach the museum, visitors needed to take a small pathway from the main road leading to the entrance hall of the building. The whole museum consisted of three main rooms mainly used to serve the exhibition purposes. The largest room was the national history exhibition on the north of the building. Next to the national history exhibition on the east, there was a museum storeroom, which was opposite a local history room.
The year 2007 experienced many developments in the museum including the size expansion and the addition of various sections. The old pathway was removed, and the entrance was moved to the west, leading to a museum shop. On the right of the museum shop was the reception with a coffee shop on the right. The local history room situated next to the reception and cafe to the east was doubled in size. Another noticeable change was the introduction of a special exhibitions area and education center on the eastern side. On the south of the museum, part of the garden was cleared to make room for a new car park.
The two pictures describe the transformation of a mini local museum and its surroundings over 50 years, from 1957 to 2007. Overall, significant developments were made to enlarge and relocate several rooms within the museum building and reduce the green area around it.
To begin, in 1957, the garden area of the museum was quite large, with various types of trees planted around the building. However, by 2007, the owners decided to redesign the green space, reducing the number of trees in front of the way and behind the library. The main road, located to the south, originally connected to a small roadway leading to the museum. This small road was later demolished, and a car park was constructed near the gallery.
Moreover, in 2007, the owner renovated the mini gallery, adding several functional rooms to meet the needs of visitors. The new additions included a museum shop, a reception room, a car park, a café, an educational center, and a special exhibition area. The local history room was retained but was expanded to a larger size.

In general, it is clear that there used to be more green space in 1957. Also, the museum became bigger over time.
In 1957, there were a lot of green trees in front of the museum, behind it, and on the left of it, too. To go inside the museum, there was a path that led to an entrance hall. The museum had three parts, namely a local history room, a museum storeroom, and a national history exhibition.
In 2007, the garden was only on the side of the museum, not all around it like before, because there was already a car park in front of the museum. The entrance was moved to the left of the museum, right behind the car park, and led to a museum shop. The museum no longer contained the storeroom and the national history exhibition. However, the local history room became larger and stood at the center. Before it, people built a reception and a cafe. After it, people made an education center and special exhibitions.

First, the previous local history room was changed into a reception area in 2007. Moreover, a national history exhibition space disappeared and switched into a local history room. The building was enlarged and a museum shop was added to the west side of the site. A room for the museum store transformed into a cafe. Furthermore, to the north side of the building, a room for special exhibitions and education was added.
Numerous trees were cut down and a large car park was constructed instead. Due to this construction, the previous car lane was knocked down. Likewise, a long trees which were located along the road had been uprooted. In addition, the garden area had been reduced and the entrance was moved to the museum shop. Lastly, a hall for the entrance was demolished.
The map indicated changes to apply to a museum between 1957 and 2007.
Overall, the building has developed while the number of trees has been lessened remarkably in order to expand the building.
In 1997, the group had several more trees compared with 2007. The building in itself has undergone various changes.To Begin with, the majority of trees in front of the hall, rear left and right, have been cut down. Where there was a driveway, we could see the car park instead. The entrance hall moved to the middle to the left of the institution. Visitors should now enter from the museum shop to enter the building. The shop led the way to the reception. A cafe has been built connected to the reception replacing the museum storeroom. The National History exhibition has been replaced by a local history room. The foundation has been enlarged to add a special exhibition and education centre.

According to the figure, it is clear that the local building has been expanded and new rooms are built. Surrounding trees are cut down while the main road remains untouched.
Looking at the 2007 revised museum at first glance, there was an extension of special exhibitions and education centre room at the top as well as a museum shop at the left. The local history area was relocated to the centre while the exhibition and storage room were deleted. A cafe and a reception area were also added at the bottom. Moreover, the entrance was moved to the new shop.
On the other hand, most plants and trees which once surrounded the building were cut. A path to the front door was demolished and replaced by a car park. A couple of trees and the garden still stood in the same place while the tree which was at the top of the national history exhibition room was relocated to the bottom of the garden.
