My dwelling is in Hanoi. It is one of the most outstanding tourist attractions of Vietnam. To talk about this city, I suppose this place is heading to “megacity” as it is densely populated with 8.5 residents according to the latest report in 2022. Moreover, it has become the largest city in Vietnam.

Hanoi is dynamic since more foreign investors are coming in, hence more job opportunities for the inhabitants here, especially the youngsters who are sharp with new trends. That is what I like most in this city because it seems like I will never be jobless if I live here.

The problem of big cities is most likely the overload situation of every system. For example, the hospital is always overcrowded with patients, up to the point when people have to reserve an appointment for a week later to meet doctors. What’s more, the number of students in a classroom in public schools is about 50 people. This leads to a scenario where parents have to scramble to get a position for their children. I feel like living in Hanoi forces me to be in a situation when I always have to fight for my basic rights.

Sometimes, when I’m distressed about life, I think of moving to Quy Nhon to live. It’s about over 1000km away from Hanoi. The reason why I choose this place is first, I want to seek escapism from the hectic pace of life. Second, the sea is a tranquil place to walk, where I can free my negative thoughts or worries.

Well, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is my hometown. The city, located in the South of Vietnam, is the heart of the politics and culture of the whole country. To me, what is so unique about Hanoi is that it has four distinct seasons. As Vietnam has a tropical climate, summer in Hanoi is super sticky, but there is chilly fall, which is also my favorite season.
At this time, I often get around at night by my motorbike to sense the aromatic scent of milk flowers which sprawls all over the atmosphere thanks to the breeze. However, not everyone loves it, some might think the fragrance is too much to take. I would say that Hanoi is one of the well-known tourist attractions in Vietnam, given that there is an array of historical sites.
Visitors should tour around places like Hoa Lo prison, which maintained treaties and prisoner figures, or visit Huu Tiep lake to see the remnant of the B-52 Stratofortress and then drop by Ngoc Ha flower village. One more activity that tourists should try is crossing the crossroad without traffic lights. I know it’s a little bit eccentric to do this, but chaotic traffic has been a culture of Vietnam.
Nonetheless, I do recommend that travelers do this under the guidance of a native since it’s quite dangerous. If I am asked whether Hanoi is a decent place to live, I will have a lot of considerations. Sure the living expenses are exorbitant, but the services from health care to entertainment here are fast and convenient, not to mention the labour market is huge. So, in my opinion, although residing in Hanoi is challenging, it’s still worth staying in this city.

Ok so let me tell you about the city where I was born and raised.
It is Da Nang city which is on the central coast and is one of the three biggest cities of Vietnam.
When you come here, you will be amazed by the beautiful natural landscapes and the friendliness of our people. My city is well-known for being favored by nature. We have the green mountains surrounding the city in the west and a long fine-sand beach in the east, which offer tourists plenty of choices to see and to enjoy here. Besides, I believe that the cuisine will never let them down. There are plenty of delicacies that tourists can try like Hue noodle soup, Quang style noodles, fresh spring rolls with pork and salad, etc.
Tourists who come to visit my city can hop on public buses for a city tour or even hire a motorbike and drive to some further destinations like the Hai Van pass, one of the greatest natural wonders according to Da Nang people.
My city is actually a perfect option for those who would like to settle down because real estate is kind of affordable at the moment. Moreover, the cost of living is relatively lower compared to Ho Chi Minh city or Hanoi city. Last but not least, the locals are friendly and helpful who will never hesitate to support the newcomers.
So that’s all I would like to say about my hometown. Thank you for your attention.

Bên cạnh đó, tôi tin rằng ẩm thực sẽ không bao giờ làm ai thất vọng. Có rất nhiều món ngon mà du khách có thể thử như bún bò Huế, mì Quảng, bánh tráng cuốn thịt heo …
Du khách khi đến thăm thành phố của tôi có thể bắt xe buýt công cộng để tham quan thành phố hoặc thậm chí thuê xe máy và tự đến đến một số điểm đến xa hơn như đèo Hải Vân, một trong những kỳ quan thiên nhiên vĩ đại nhất theo đánh giá của người dân Đà Nẵng.
Thành phố của tôi thực sự là một lựa chọn hoàn hảo cho những ai muốn an cư lạc nghiệp vì bất động sản ở thời điểm hiện tại có giá cả phải chăng. Hơn nữa, chi phí sinh hoạt tương đối thấp hơn so với tại thành phố Hồ Chí Minh hoặc thủ đô Hà Nội. Cuối cùng nhưng không kém phần quan trọng, người dân địa phương rất thân thiện và hiếu khách, họ sẽ không bao giờ ngần ngại hỗ trợ những người mới đến.
Đó là tất cả những gì tôi muốn nói về quê hương của mình. Cám ơn bạn vì đã lắng nghe.

Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam – is my dear hometown. It is located in the North of the country. Many people come here to travel since it is well-known for being the largest cultural and political center of Vietnam.
There are many amazing historical landmarks that everyone has to see if they are in Hanoi. Some of the famous destinations I would highly recommend are the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, the Temple of Literature & National University, and the Hoa Lo Prison Museum. By visiting these places, visitors can know more about the history of Vietnam.
Furthermore, the unique cuisine is what makes Hanoi different from other destinations. There are many must-try specialties, such as Phở, Chả cá Lã Vọng, and Nem cua bể. These dishes have greatly contributed to the diversity of Hanoi’s food culture, making the experiences of travelers more unforgettable.
Currently, even though I am not living in Hanoi, I still remember vividly everything about it. I often go back to my hometown once or twice every year to visit my family and take a break from my busy job.

Có rất nhiều địa điểm lịch sử tuyệt vời mà mọi người cần đến nếu họ ở Hà Nội. Một vài địa điểm nổi tiếng mà tôi muốn gợi ý là Lăng Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh, Phủ Chủ tịch, Văn miếu Quốc Tử Giám và Di tích nhà tù Hỏa Lò. Bằng cách ghé thăm những nơi này, du khách có thể biết thêm về lịch sử của Việt Nam.
Thêm vào đó, nền ẩm thực độc đáo là thứ khiến Hà Nội khác với những nơi khác. Có rất nhiều món đặc sản mà bạn cần phải thử như Phở, Chả cá Lã Vọng, và Nem cua bể. Những món ăn trên đã đóng góp rất nhiều cho sự đa dạng của văn hóa ẩm thực Hà Nội, khiến trải nghiệm của du khách trở nên khó quên hơn.
Hiện tại, mặc dù tôi không sống ở Hà Nội, nhưng tôi vẫn nhớ rất rõ ràng mọi thứ về nó. Tôi thường về quê 1 hay 2 lần mỗi năm để thăm gia đình và tạm nghỉ khỏi công việc bận rộn của mình.
I am going to talk about where I was born and raised. My hometown is Nha Trang, which is the largest city in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Nha Trang has been a popular tourist attraction that has endless beautiful beaches with white sand. It is very easy for people within and outside the country to visit this city.
In this tropical paradise, there are so many fascinating outdoor activities that everyone can do. For example, people can go on a boat to visit the islands around Nha Trang Bay, or take part in adventurous activities such as riding a water motorbike or surfing. In addition, tourists can go snorkeling or scuba diving to explore life under the sea. For relaxation, mud-bathing is greatly preferred.
Being a beach city has provided Nha Trang with a lot of fresh seafood. It is the highlight of many dishes in Nha Trang’s cuisine, such as Banh xeo muc and Bun sua. Additionally, bird’s nest is a nutritious specialty of Nha Trang that many people often buy as souvenirs for their families and friends.
I am in love with Nha Trang because of the people here. The locals are very kind and hospitable. Everyone is warmly welcomed to visit Nha Trang.

Tôi sẽ nói về nơi mà tôi đã được sinh ra và lớn lên. Quê hương của tôi là Nha Trang, thành phố lớn nhất của tỉnh Khánh Hòa, Việt Nam. Nha Trang đã là 1 địa điểm du lịch nổi tiếng với những bãi biển đẹp, trải dài cùng bờ cát trắng. Mọi người ở trong nước lẫn ngoài nước có thể đến đây 1 cách dễ dàng.
Ở thiên đường nhiệt đới này, có rất nhiều hoạt động giải trí ngoài trời mọi người có thể tham gia, Ví dụ, người ta có thể đi thăm các hòn đảo quanh vịnh Nha Trang bằng thuyền; hoặc tham gia các hoạt động mạo hiểm như lái mô tô nước hay lướt sóng. Thêm vào đó, du khách có thể lặn snorkeling (lặn biển với kính lặn và ống thở) hay lặn scuba diving (lặn với bình dưỡng khí, có thợ lặn đi kèm) để khám phá cuộc sống dưới đáy biển. Để thư giãn, tắm bùn được ưa chuộng rất nhiều.
Là 1 thành phố biển, Nha Trang có rất nhiều hải sản tươi sống. Nó là “nhân vật chính” của rất nhiều món ăn trong ẩm thực Nha Trang, như Bánh xèo mực và Bún sứa. Thêm vào đó, tổ yến cũng là 1 món đặc sản bổ dưỡng của Nha Trang, được nhiều người mua làm quà lưu niệm cho gia đình và bạn bè của họ.
Tôi yêu Nha Trang vì con người nơi đây. Người dân địa phương ở đây rất tốt bụng và hiếu khách. Ai cũng được chào đón 1 cách nồng nhiệt khi đến Nha Trang.
Today, I am going to talk about Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon. It is the city that I grew up in.
Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city situated in the South of Vietnam. It is considered as the busy business center of the country. Many people from different places often come here to look for good job opportunities. Therefore, it is safe to say that Ho Chi Minh is a cosmopolitan city.
Life in Ho Chi Minh City is always busy and fast. The roads are always full of people and mostly motorbikes, which is a famous transportation in Vietnam. Therefore, the traffic is often busy and overwhelming. In addition, many people that are new here are afraid of crossing the streets and learning to ride motorbikes.
As tourists, there are many interesting activities to do here. Museums and historical sites are what travellers are interested in. Some of the most popular ones are the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, the History Museum, and Cu Chi Tunnels.
In addition, nobody can skip shopping when they are in Ho Chi Minh City. There are many large and modern shopping centers here, such as Crescent Mall, Saigon Center or AEON. Clothes, accessories, electronics, and kitchenware are just some of the goods that these malls offer.
What I really like about this city is its cheap and delicious food. I can get a portion of Com tam suon for just around VND 30,000 – 45,000 in a small food stall in this city. Moreover, giving tips is optional here.

Là du khách, có rất nhiều hoạt động để làm ở thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Các bảo tàng và những địa điểm lịch sử rất được du khách thích. Một vài nơi nổi tiếng là Bảo tàng Chứng tích Chiến tranh, Dinh Độc Lập, Bảo tàng Lịch sử, và Địa đạo Củ Chi.
Thêm vào đó, không ai có thể bỏ qua mua sắm khi ở thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Có nhiều trung tâm thương mại lớn và hiện đại ở đây như Crescent Mall, Saigon Center hay AEON. Quần áo, phụ kiện, thiết bị điện tử và đồ dùng nhà bếp là một vài trong số những món hàng được bán ở đây.
Điều mà tôi rất thích về thành phố này là đồ ăn vừa ngon vừa rẻ. Tôi có thể mua 1 phần cơm tấm sườn chỉ với khoảng 30.000 – 45.000 VNĐ ở 1 tiệm nhỏ ở thành phố này. Ngoài ra, việc “boa tiền” cũng là không bắt buộc ở đây.
I don’t think so. It’s not so hard to choose a place to live in Vietnam, but finding a safe and cheap one with decent infrastructures like clean water supply and adequate sanitation is as difficult as mining diamonds. Of course, people with sufficient income would have much more options than ones with a meager salary.

Since a house is considered as a highly – value asset, it’s crucial for people to think whether they want to permanently own one. If the person desires to develop a career and start a family, he or she should buy accommodation as it would be more economical. However, if the person only resides in a city in a specific amount of time, he or she should only rent a house because purchasing an apartment is an unreasonable and unnecessary investment.

I don’t think so. How to justify “the right age” depends on the social and cultural contexts, which is quite subjective. In Western countries, the 18-year-olds can leave their house and begin a new life, but that situation is a little bit different from Asian countries. Some offspring live on their own when they enter into marriage, which is the standard of maturity.
Some don’t even try to move out because it is the children responsibility to take care of parents when they are old. For that reason, there is no right moment to actually live independently.
