The maps give information on the transformation the ground floor of an art gallery has undergone between 2015 and the present day. Overall, we can see that there has been a removal of one of the exhibitions, with new amenities in its place. Meanwhile, a few facilities have also been shifted around.
The large exhibition room directly to the left of the entrance hall has been replaced by a temporary exhibition and children’s area. The receptionist table, meanwhile, has also been moved closer to the entrance compared to where it was in 2015, now sitting next to the temporary exhibition. Additionally, the gallery office and cafe have also been dismantled, with a vending machine and gallery shop taking their place. The stairs have been moved slightly leftward, with the space on its right being made available for a lift. Lastly, the three exhibition rooms that occupy the whole right side of the building have remained unchanged from what they were in 2015.
The given plans illustrate the differences in the ground floor layout of the art gallery between the past (2005) and the present day.Overall, it is apparent that the art gallery has undergone numerous modifications, particularly on the left side of the floor plan. Additionally, several elements have been added to enhance accessibility for disabled visitors, including the installation of ramps and a lift.
In 2005, the receptionist was located at the centre of the art gallery, with stairs positioned towards the rear side of the building. On the right side, there were three exhibition rooms. The left side consisted of exhibition room 4, a gallery office, and a cafe.
Currently, an entrance hall has been introduced, and the receptionist has been relocated closer to the entrance door. Additional ramps have been installed in front of the gallery, while a lift has been added at the back, making the gallery more universally accessible. The stairs have been moved to the left, and the former cafe space has been transformed into a gallery shop. Exhibition rooms 1-3 remain unchanged, whereas exhibition room 4 has been replaced by a children's area and a temporary exhibition space. In 2005, there was a café and shop in the top left corner and exhibition room 4 in the bottom left corner of the art gallery. An area between these two places was occupied by a gallery office. A space on the right side was taken up by three exhibition spaces named 1,2,3 which were located respectively from the bottom to the top. In the middle, there were stairs to the upper floor between the café and shop and place 3. The reception desk was located beside area 4 and the gallery office. In addition, an entrance was opposite the stairs through the entrance hall.
At present day, there are some changes in the art arcade. On the left side of the map, the café is removed and the room is now a gallery shop. The office is now occupied by three vending machines. Moreover, place 4 is divided into two different areas named temporary exhibitions and a children’s playing area. On the right side, three places remain intact to now. In the middle, an elevator is added next to area 3, which leads to the reduction of stairs to the upper floor in size A reception desk is now moved to the middle of the art arcade. Furthermore, the entrance is upgraded by adding a ramp for wheelchairs.
The diagrams illustrate information about the change of art gallery ground floor in 2015 and present day. Overall, the entrance and the right rooms remained stable. Meanwhile, there was a considerable change with the center of art gallery and the left place in 2015 and present day.

Directly facing the entrance was a round reception counter, immediately before the stairs in the north wing. A café could be in the northwest corner, with a gallery office to its south.
Overall, the art gallery has been made more convenient with the addition of new facilities such as a children’s area and a gallery shop, albeit at the expense of some old features. Of particular note is the construction of a ramp for wheelchairs and a lift, which has made the gallery more accessible to the disabled.
