Key Responsibilities:

Research and Innovation:

• Investigate market trends and emerging technologies to improve mall infrastructure, services, and customer engagement.
• Develop new concepts for tenant mix, retail experiences, and entertainment offerings to increase foot traffic.
• Research sustainable and eco-friendly technologies for mall operations (e.g., energy-efficient systems, waste management solutions).

Customer Experience:

• Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance the shopping experience (e.g. virtual mall tours, smart parking, digital directories).
• Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to analyze customer feedback and integrate insights into future development plans.

Technology Integration:

• Explore the integration of digital and interactive technologies such as smart kiosks, mobile apps, augmented reality (AR), or interactive signage to drive customer engagement.
• Develop smart mall solutions such as IoT (Internet of Things) for real-time data monitoring of mall operations (e.g., foot traffic analysis, energy consumption).

Sustainability Initiatives:

• Research and promote sustainable construction, waste reduction, and energy-saving practices.
• Investigate and implement green certifications and technologies that align with the mall's environmental goals.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with architects, developers, retailers, and external partners to ensure the implementation of innovative ideas.
• Present research findings and development strategies to mall management and key stakeholders.

Project Management:

• Oversee R&D projects from conception to implementation, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Evaluate and track the performance of newly implemented R&D initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

• Analyze competitor malls and other retail spaces to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Track industry trends and provide recommendations to keep the mall competitive in the market.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Architecture
• Proven experience in R&D or innovation management, ideally in the retail, hospitality, or commercial real estate sectors.
• Strong understanding of customer experience management and retail trends.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as IoT, smart building systems, augmented reality, and digital solutions.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
