Datalogic is offering a role as Commodity Manager for Custom Mechanics, reporting directly to the Global Commodity Manager for Custom Mechanics. The new resource will have the responsibility to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost, and within the policies and guidelines established by management.

ROLE MISSION:
Drive all necessary actions to achieve the best supplier cost, quality and delivery performance by managing globally the supplier relationship. Drive commodity strategy execution and negotiations with assigned suppliers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement commodity strategy and supplier panel
• Drive benchmark activities within commodity
• Scout the market and manage introduction of new suppliers and new technologies
• Lead negotiations and recharge COPQ with assigned suppliers
• Ensure all applicable contracts are signed by assigned suppliers
• Identify and lead cost saving initiatives at assigned suppliers
• Support other functions with commodity expertise
• Support other functions when problem solving cannot be handled at their stage (e.g. for NPD, quality, shortages)
• Coordinate supplier phase out process and transfers
• Manage supplier tools replacement
• Lead QBR process with assigned suppliers
• Manage purchasing data in SAP
• Ensure shortest possible supplier and procurement lead time
• Anticipate commodity risks and set preventive actions
