The BU Material Sr. Specialist is responsible to support & assist BU Operation Manager, Asia Material Hub and or Deckers Management in carry out job function as stipulated in duties & responsibilities and other job task or projects as when required relating direct or indirectly.
1. Able to practice general supply chain management and general supply relationship management to perform Material Management Task with all stakeholders.
2. Be part of the innovation and development materials process, initiate and or working and partnering with Suppliers, Factories, PDs / Dev Com Team and Materials Development Team.
3. Able to lead and guide stakeholders on solving and finding the optimum solution on materials delivery and quality.
4. Manage, entry data and apply materials system data information such as PLM and Amber Road SCC on job task and work.
5. Support Asia Material Hub tasks / activities as part of the Deckers Material Supply Chain.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Supply Chain Management (50% )
• Supervise the suppliers to strictly implement the good quality, delivery date and good service to the brand and shoe factories for ILR, FLR, Salesman sample to bulk production.
• Ensure the material of supply chain from suppliers, meet the needs of development and mass production with low cost and high quality.
• Promote partnership / relationship among shoe factories, suppliers, BU Dev com, and BU Production Team.
• Provide reports related to suppliers and materials data to BU Operation Manager, Asia Material Hub and Deckers Management.
• Suppliers and Materials Localization Program. Collaborate with Asia Material Hub to recommend the potential local Suppliers and Materials for cost competitive, lead time, local services management.
2. Projects implementation (15%)
• In accordance with the direction and instructions of the BU Operation Manager, Asia Material Hub and or Deckers Management, create, implement and execute projects.
• Share to other BU of the project.
3. Solve issues/cases between factories and suppliers (15%)
Support BU Production and BU Dev Com when approach to solve the material quality issues, delivery issues and physical property issue between shoe factories and suppliers.
4. Represent BU, Asia Material Hub and or Deckers Management (10%) in carrying tasks and other material (If assigned) not define in the JD as when require by BU, Asia Material Hub and or Deckers Management.
SUPPORT Asia Materials Hub Tasks (10%)
The respective BU Material Lead will support the Asia Material Hub tasks as stipulated in the most updated and or most updated revised RACI with R (Responsible) for related Category Material as mentioned in the RACI chart.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Any Certifications Required: University Degree
Year(s) of Experience & Background Required
• At least has 5 years and above solid working experience. Prefer with FMCG industry preferably Footwear/ Lifestyles will be an added advantage.
• General Knowledge of shoe materials.
• Experience in using System tool to run report.
• Experience in managing Materials Library Management.
• Have good sense of team spirit and business acumen.
• Exceptional time management.
• Strong problem solving and negotiations skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Functional & Technical Competencies
Must be computer literature especially in Microsoft Excel with capability using the Excel function. Written & Spoken English is a must.
