You will… 
As a College Prep Counselor, you are going to work closely with high school students in a 1-on-1 format, helping them develop personal awareness and adaptive learning strategies for their college prep and application process. In return, you have a chance to develop your coaching skills, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the international higher education systems that can strengthen your foundation for success in the education field.
Your primary responsibilities include: 
Coaching/Counseling (90%) 
● Create specific plans and revise the plan regularly with the student to ensure they reach their goals for their college prep and college application agenda; 
● Advise students to set, monitor, and evaluate progress on appropriate goals; 
● Advise the student on extracurricular plans to help the student explore their career interests, build soft skills, and enhance their competitive edge for college admissions;
● Guide students through personal reflection, financial planning, major/career interest orientation, and school research; 
● Coach students on writing admission essays, creating resumes and portfolio, and practicing in college interviews; 
● Advise students on how to ask for letters of recommendations, scholarship research, filling out financial aid forms, and other paperwork associated with the process; 
● Commit to helping students of all abilities reach their full potential with discipline and growth mindset by providing suitable resources and directions; 
● Create and maintain an orderly learning environment that accounts for students’ social, emotional, and executive functioning needs.
 Administrative/Communication Work (10%) 
● Provide regular reports of student progress and open for mandatory parent’s quarterly meetings (if requested); 
● Participate in necessary professional development and counselor check-in sessions; 
● Compile students’ work and results at the end of the process for case study; 
● Engage in team retrospective with constructive feedback to ensure coaching and learning improvement. 

You have… 
These are the minimum requirements. We can't accept you in this role unless you meet them all: 
● Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a US university; 
● Excellent communication skills, especially writing, in English and Vietnamese; 
● Thorough understanding of US college application process, admissions opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese students; 
● Passion for coaching and engaging students in rigorous learning experience; 
● Openness to feedback and continuous growth in a positive way; 
● Ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed; 
● Commitment to the timeline of the PT contract, especially during the 9 months of the application process from June to February. (This job requires significant time to build rapport with students, any counselor change would be highly disruptive to the counseling process).

● Prior experience in incorporating social-emotional learning into student experiences;

● A strong network of US college alumni, current students, and admission counselors.

Trung tâm Everest Education được thành lập bởi ông Tony Ngo (Thạc sỹ Trường Kinh Doanh Harvard và Cử nhân Đại học Stanford) cùng ông Don Le (Cử nhân Đại học Stanford) với mong muốn truyền ngọn lửa đam mê trong suốt hành trình học tập của mỗi một em học sinh. Các em sẽ được trang bị đầy đủ kiến thức và kỹ năng để có thể thành công trong môi trường học tập quốc tế. Đối với các gia đình, chúng tôi cũng luôn nỗ lực để trở thành một đối tác giáo dục đáng tin cậy.

Các khóa học đang được giảng dạy tại Trung tâm bao gồm toán, ngữ văn Anh, luyện thi, tư vấn du học đại học, và dạy kèm riêng. Chương trình phù hợp cho các em học sinh từ tiểu học đến trung học phổ thông, với phương pháp giảng dạy tích hợp độc quyền (blended learning). Ngoài ra, trung tâm cũng tổ chức các chương trình trại hè Anh ngữ, STEAM và phát triển tư duy thiết kế cho học sinh ở các chi nhánh của trung tâm, các trường đối tác quốc tế, và mô hình học trực tuyến.
