Job Description

• Manage, guide, and mentor a team of developers working on complex, microservices-based systems.
• Design, develop, and evolve scalable, modular, and high-performance microservices using Node.js / TypeScript, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture.
• Design and develop backend services using Python (FastAPI / Flask) for data processing, internal tools, or AI-enabled components, integrated with existing microservices.
• Build and maintain Python-based services for AI/ML integration, automation, data pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Translate business and product requirements into clear, feasible technical solutions in collaboration with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other technical leaders.
• Take ownership of technical decisions related to architecture, performance, scalability, and security.
  

• Ensure high code quality through regular code reviews, enforcing clean code principles and engineering best practices.
• Establish and maintain development standards including TDD, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and coding conventions.
• Identify, mitigate, and proactively manage architectural risks.
  

• Ensure microservices are optimized for performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Analyze system bottlenecks, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive performance improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment strategies and system resilience.
  

• Work closely with DevOps teams to support cloud-native and containerized environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, infrastructure automation, and operational best practices.
• Support and evolve container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  

• Actively use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to:
• Support technical analysis, solution design, and requirement clarification
• Assist in code generation, refactoring, and code review
• Improve debugging, log analysis, and root-cause investigation
• Generate and maintain technical documentation (architecture docs, API specs, README)
• Define and promote AI-assisted development workflows within the team.
• Continuously explore practical AI use cases to improve delivery speed, code quality, and team productivity (not research-focused).
  

• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and architecture diagrams for microservices and deployments.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system efficiency and engineering practices.
• Drive continuous improvement aligned with agile methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with JavaScript / TypeScript.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with microservices architecture in production.
• Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring developers.
• Experience with Python is a strong plus, especially for: Building internal tools, scripts, or automation to support development and delivery.
  

• Strong experience with Node.js and backend JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js, Vue.js, or equivalent.
• Experience with Python for backend development, scripting, automation, and AI-related services.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django is a plus.
• Experience integrating Python services with Node.js microservices via REST/gRPC.
• Solid understanding of microservices design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• Strong experience with databases:
• SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Familiar with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures is a plus.
  

• Practical experience using AI tools to support daily engineering work.
• Ability to write effective prompts for technical problem-solving.
• Clear understanding of when and how to leverage AI responsibly in software development.
• Willingness to guide and standardize AI usage within the team.
