Job brief

Demi Chef : prepare food in accordance with the standard recipes and specifications in the designated area of work as determined by the Head Chef.

A Demi Chef: reports to the Head Chef, Sous Chef & Junior Sous Chef and is responsible for Commis chefs.

Responsibilities

•  Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation and production, and management and training of kitchen staff

•  Ensure efficient, cost-effective operation and profitability of food production.

•  Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order.

•  Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely manner.

•  Assume the role as Executive Chef in his absence

•  Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications.
• Đảm bảo tuân thủ tất cả các tiêu chuẩn về chất lượng thực phẩm, cách chuẩn bị, công thức nấu ăn và cách trình bày cùng với các thông số kỹ thuật.
•  Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.
• Giám sát các hoạt động giữ và bảo quản, dự trữ và luân chuyển thực phẩm, đồng thời đảm bảo các tiêu chuẩn vệ sinh của dịch vụ thực phẩm được đáp ứng.
•  Assure kitchen personnel is trained in best cleanliness and sanitation practices.
• Đảm bảo nhân viên nhà bếp được đào tạo về thực hành sạch sẽ và vệ sinh tốt nhất.

High School/ College/ University degree of equivalent
