** POSITION SUMMARY
The Sourcing and Supplier Quality Manager is a new position created for the purpose of quoting, negotiating, sourcing, and developing Supplier Management Systems and building the appropriate team to support the Sourcing and Supplier Quality effort, working closely with the Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain teams. This position will be responsible for RFP management and Supplier Quality Management for purchased finished goods as well as raw materials sourced domestically and internationally.

** Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Build and lead a high performing Sourcing and Supplier Quality team that meets objectives and delivers added value and continuous improvement.
• Analyze global, regional & local market information to understand upstream cost drivers and the effect on market pricing, including supply and demand dynamics. Generate and maintain various top management flash reports and monthly market overview reports on key commodities.
• Conduct global market research to identify potential new suppliers and products with the goal of identifying new and redundant sources of supply based on competitiveness, capability and business needs. Lead cross functional team to qualify.
• Conduct supplier survey and scorecard measurement process with key suppliers – driving continuous improvement and project savings opportunities.
• Complete Strategic Sourcing Events for assigned commodities and services focusing on Total Cost. Includes but not limited to negotiating price, lead time, Payment Terms, Rebates and delivery.
• Award contracts for assigned commodities and monitor purchases to ensure commitments are made and rebates are maximized. Identify and take advantage of spot buy opportunities as needed.
• Comply with all SOX requirements and approved processes and procedures.
• Lead the development and implementation of Supplier Quality management systems and processes that include but are not limited to:
• SCAR process and Vendor Scorecards
• Overseas Vendor Quality Management
• Vendor selection and qualification
• Vendor quality audits
• Supplier quality management
• Work with Procurement/R&D/Quality/Suppliers [as appropriate] to establish documented quality requirements/specs for purchased finished goods and raw materials.
• Support new product launches.
• Effectively lead and interact with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills required.
• Must be able to travel internationally.
• Experience working across multiple production facilities preferred.
• Experience with steel, plastic, and aluminum preferred.
