RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Mechanical Engineer leads mechanical design for products of Varroc Vietnam plant, and he/she is responsible for technical solutions and leading and coordination of work within dedicated projects. He/she will work with multinational teams for delivering a robust, proven and reliable mechanical solutions in required time, quality and cost.
• Reports to Program Manager in term of tasks based on assignment into particular project.
• Leads all Product design tasks related to particular project in terms of mechanical engineering.
• Is responsible for mechanical BOM release & updates.
• Preparing 3D models, 2D drawings for complete product (assembly drawing) and child parts (PCB, PCB Assembly, Wire harness, mechanical parts)
• Applies and ensure application of the best Varroc design and process practices, standard parts, Lessons Learned, CAD standards and Varroc CAD methodology and customer specific requirements.
• Cooperates at creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test and certification in compliance with the Varroc and customer specifications as well as legal requirements.
• Supports Technical Design Review (TDR) of given project. On request participate on TDR organized by other teams to provide feedback.
• Responsible for mechanical feasibility of the projects proven by checklist status.
• Participates in customer & quality audits for given products / projects if required.
• Participates in benchmarking and on the basis of the information gathered gives incentives to improve Varroc standards.
• Provides technical support to new business development (i.e BOM, presentation, feasibility)
• Prepares and shares given project Lessons Learned
• Sound Knowledge with working level expertise on CATIA, AUTOCAD, UG.
• Preparing 3D MCAD data for ECAD/PCB design engineer.
• Perform collision check for PCB assembly with mechanical parts in vicinity.
• Participating in Design Reviews with Cross Functional PD & Manufacturing Team.
• Meeting the quality Procedure/Standards for Design of Electronic Components (assembly & part Level).
• Working Knowledge of 2D drawing standards.
