The Opportunity
Our partner is an Australia-based leading communications and Telecom software company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 2006 is looking for a Software Engineer who is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the application. This is a hands-on role that will be developing new features for our customers which meet the needs of our business. As a Software Engineer, you are also involved in building with best practices and resiliency in mind, adhering to agile processes and dealing with business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role that will be developing new features for our customers which meet the needs of our business. As a Software Engineer, you are also involved in building with best practices and resiliency in mind, adhering to agile processes and dealing with business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of stable, secure, and well architected code
- To always leave code in a better state than it was when starting.
- Actively seeks to improve the skill level of the team and shares knowledge freely
- Your code is adequately tested prior to production deployment.
- Your approach to work includes an “eagerness to action” outlook to foster early time to market.
- Identifies and escalates issues/risks to leadership early.
- Ensure appropriate consideration is given to testing, security, stability, reliability, and monitoring.
- Drive technical decisions and direction within your team and across platforms owned by the team.
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of Java experience
- Have good experience working with AWS
- Nice to have with experience in working with projects using: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Redis
- Familiar or Knowledge with DevOps using: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Experience working with Helmchart
