We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Data Engineer to be the foundational member of our Data & Analytics team. This individual will play a critical role in building and optimizing our data pipeline architecture, ensuring seamless data flow from various sources to our centralized data warehouse on Google BigQuery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing organization, where your work will directly influence data-driven decision-making across departments. 

This role reports to the Manager, Data & Analytics. 

His / Her responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to transfer data from multiple sources to Lakehouse. 
• Design and develop analytics tools and dashboards to extract actionable insights related to customer acquisition, operational performance, and business health. 
• Deliver real-time and batch-based data solutions that support various use cases such as customer origination, system execution, and operational intelligence. 
• Transform and clean large datasets to ensure high-quality data for analytics and reporting. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions that align with business goals. 
• Ensure data architecture is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. 
• Set up data monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify issues or bottlenecks in the pipelines. 

You will have the following skills and experience:  

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. 
• Proficiency with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, ClickHouse). 
• Strong programming skills in Python and Bash Script. 
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS). 
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and proven experience working with Google BigQuery. 
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data architecture (Lakehouse). 
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment as the first Data Engineer in the team. 
• A problem-solver mindset with attention to detail, adaptability, and a passion for continuous improvement. 
• Nice to Have (Preferred): 
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or SSIS. 
• Familiarity with CI/CD for data workflows. 
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Superset, Tableau or Power BI. 
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines or data science collaboration is a plus.
