Đề bài Describe your house thuộc chủ đề lớn là Describe a building. Để xử lý đề bài Describe your house, cách dễ dàng và hiệu quả nhất đó chính là bám sát các cue (gợi ý) đề đưa ra và cung cấp thông tin rõ ràng nhất có thể, hạn chế nói chung chung.
Với câu hỏi đầu tiên trong đề bài Describe your house, Hiện tại bạn đang sống ở đâu, ngoài việc đề cập đến nơi đó là ở thành thị hay nông thôn, ta có thể nói thêm về kiểu nhà ta đang sống để sử dụng được nhiều hơn các từ vựng thuộc chủ đề Housing and Accommodation và ăn điểm tiêu chí Lexical Resource.

Chúng ta có thể bổ sung thêm các đặc điểm của căn nhà như sự phổ biến của kiểu nhà này, quang cảnh quanh khu nhà và các thiết bị hay đồ dùng trong nhà để người nghe có thể hình dung rõ nét hơn về căn nhà trong mơ của chúng ta.
Với câu hỏi gợi ý cuối cùng yêu cầu giải thích Tại sao bạn cho rằng đó là căn nhà mơ ước của bạn, chúng ta có thể biến câu trả lời này thành một kết bài và chỉ ra rằng vì những đặc điểm kể trên mà đó được coi là căn nhà mơ ước của nhiều người trẻ chứ không chỉ riêng chúng ta.

Today, I’m going to tell you about a penthouse that I’ve always been dreaming of. Well, currently, my whole family and I have been residing in a kind of terraced house in the city center of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. However, in the future, when I become a self-made billionaire, I’d love to purchase a penthouse for myself.
I’ve been able to visualize my dream apartment more clearly thanks to “The penthouse: War in life”, a Korean TV series which used to be the talk of the town in the summer of 2021. To begin with, my ideal unit would be the apartment on the highest floor of Hera Palace, a 100-storey building located in the heart of Seoul. This place is considered the accommodation of the Korean upper class. The higher the unit, the higher social status its owner possesses.
From the top floor, I can enjoy a magnificent view of skyscrapers, busy streets and countless cars. At night, you can admire stars that light up the whole sky quite clearly from a distance, which is kinda romantic.
As for its facilities, this penthouse is really well-equipped with cutting-edge technologies and labor-saving appliances. Thus the furniture inside is also invaluable and luxurious.
Well, all things considered, it now becomes understandable why many young people want to become its owner, and I’m no exception.

Many people dream to have a modern house located in the city, however, I love my house in my peaceful hometown. My house has only 2 floors and is not spacious, but the space is enough for a family to live cosily. My father painted the house blue, which is my favourite colour, and the ceiling is beautifully decorated with star and moon ornaments. My mother loves natural lights rather than artificial lights so each room has its own large windows. There is a balcony in my bedroom, where I can enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea every morning. We have a large garden where we plant flowers, which I can’t have if we live in the city. Because I have a job in the city, I only visit my house twice a month. The time I live in my house with my parents is always the best part in my life.

Having an ideal house is the goal that most people aim for in their lives. To some people, a dream house needs to be massive and luxurious, but when it comes to me, I just want to have a cozy two-storey house surrounded with trees and flowers.
When I think of where my dream house would be located, I can only envision the peacefulness of my hometown. I was born and grew up in Nam Dinh, so I really hope that my ideal house can be situated in this tranquil country area.
The house I want would have four bed-rooms, a spacious modern living room, a lovely kitchen and a couple of washrooms. The interior of the house will be decorated in such a way that navy blue , my favorite color, is the theme color. Furthermore, the front garden of my house would be filled with all my favorite flowers like roses, daisies and tulips. Whereas in the backyard, I will plant some organic veggies in my personal kitchen garden.
I would love to have this dream house as soon as possible. However, with my current financial capacity, it’s gonna take a while until I can finally own my dream house.
There are several reasons why I think that this house would be perfectly suitable for myself. The major reason, of course, is that this house is completely built based on my own idea of a dream house, and I have planned every aspect of it in detail. It’ll be a house of tranquility, which will keep me away from the hustle and bustle of the modern city.

Ordinary apartments and studios are the two most common types of apartments in Vietnam. The first one is pretty popular among young married couples who have a certain amount of savings or workers who have a reliable income because this sort of apartment’s prices are not usually budget-friendly, while the latter is increasingly prevalent among university students or those who have a low income due to its affordability.
Well, there are a number of distinctions between the types of accommodation that the young and the old reside in. The majority of young people these days tend to choose apartments in the city center where their living standards can be improved since these apartments are usually in high-rise buildings surrounded by so many amenities such as shopping malls, supermarkets and entertainment areas.
Meanwhile, detached houses in rural areas seem to be more prevalent among the elderly since when people reach that age, they usually look for a place that allows them to stay away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
I’d say there are a wide variety of distinctions between houses and flats. However, the two most outstanding ones are access to amenities and flexibility in design. Regarding the first one, those living in flats tend to have greater access to amenities such as shopping centers, gymnasiums and such like because their flats are parts of modern buildings whose developers have already incorporated these conveniences into their residential area.
Turning to the latter, it is undisputed that house owners often find it easy to renovate or redecorate their accommodation as they have full control over their property. Meanwhile, flat owners are not given that privilege because they usually have to ask for the permission of the building administration team or the building owner when they want to redesign their units.
