Topic: Parenting courses | Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2
MỞ BÀI
One of parents’ most important responsibilities is perhaps taking good care of their offspring. It is believed that it should be compulsory for all mums and dads to take parenting courses so that they are better prepared for parenthood. While I accept that such classes are beneficial, I do not agree that they should be mandatory.
THÂN BÀI
On the one hand, parents would benefit a great deal from parenting classes. First, such courses provide mothers and fathers with in-depth knowledge about how to raise a kid at different developmental stages. Parents who decide to take parenting courses will have a better understanding of their children’s needs; hence, they can take the best care of them. Second, mums and dads in parenting classes are equipped with basic medical training to deal with emergency situations more effectively. For instance, first aid training teaches parents what to do if their child has a high fever or a breathing issue.
Despite such benefits of taking part in parenting courses or workshops, I believe that they should not be compulsory. This is because many parents, especially those who struggle financially, have to work overtime, in the evenings or even at weekends, just to make ends meet. Forcing them to attend those classes would adversely affect their work and their lives. Therefore, I think that parents should be free to decide whether or not they want to participate in those courses instead of being forced to do so.
KẾT BÀI
Vậy là chúng ta sẽ có một kết bài như sau:
In conclusion, in spite of some benefits that parenting classes offer, I believe that they should be optional rather than compulsory.

Parenting is a crucial responsibility that involves creating a suitable environment for children to grow and develop into healthy, well-adjusted adults. While many parents may feel confident in their ability to raise their children, there are always new challenges and situations that can arise that require additional support and guidance. This is where parenting courses can be incredibly helpful. Participating in parenting courses can provide a wealth of information on different approaches and techniques for raising children. These courses can cover topics such as child development, discipline strategies, communication skills, and stress management. Additionally, they offer practical advice on dealing with difficult situations such as tantrums, bullying, or mental health issues. Furthermore, parenting courses can help parents connect with other caregivers who may be going through similar experiences. This sense of community can be invaluable in providing emotional support and reducing feelings of isolation or inadequacy. However, mandating parents to attend these courses every year may not be the best approach. It could be seen as overly intrusive or prescriptive, leading to resentment or resistance from some parents. Moreover, it may not be necessary for all parents who are already doing an excellent job raising their children. Instead of imposing mandatory attendance requirements on busy parents' schedules and lives, I suggest making these courses more widely available and accessible to all parents who feel they could benefit from them. This could include offering them online or in community centres so that parents can choose to attend at their own convenience. Additionally, we should encourage schools to integrate parenting courses into their curriculum. By incorporating this type of education into our school system, we would be giving all future caregivers the tools they need to become responsible and effective parents. In conclusion, while attending parenting courses can be very beneficial for both parents and children alike; requiring them every year may not be the most effective approach. Instead of imposing strict mandates on parental responsibilities , we should focus on making these resources more widely available so that those who wish to participate have access when they need it most. Overall my idea is that while attending parenting courses is beneficial for everyone involved in raising a child but making it mandatory every year might not work out well because it might come off as intrusive leading some people to resist it. Instead of mandating attendance each year we should make these resources more widely accessible like offering them online or at community centres which will enable people to choose when they want to attend. Another way we could make access easier is by integrating these classes into schools’ curriculum which will equip future caregivers with the tools needed for responsible parenthood. Through this method instead of enforcing strict mandates on parental responsibilities we will focus on providing easy access to resources that will help those who need them most when they need them most.

Whether parents should participate in annual parenting lessons in order to raise their children properly and create a healthy environment for them to grow or not is being disputed. The writer of this essay agrees with this notion as those courses can help strengthen the bond between family members and inform newly-wed couples about essential skills.
There can be no doubt how taking part in courses specified for parents offers various methods to approach their spouses. In other words, because the majority of households have a large age gap in between, it is difficult for a child to communicate their feelings and thoughts which can lead to depression and family issues. However, by attending parenting courses, caregivers can learn how to convey those emotions and try to understand them which results in better understanding and reduces the tension in the family. Take Japan as a prime example where 70% of parents participate in pre-birth programmes, this has made the country ranked first in children satisfaction rate for over five years since 2019.
Another reason as to why it is essential for guardians to attend classes is that those provide them with knowledge about parenthood before giving birth. To simplify, with preparation, caregivers can gain deeper insights into children's basic needs and can deal with them when encountering obstacles in life. Consequently, this results in an efficient teaching style throughout the year and contributes to a better society where younger individuals can freely express their feelings.
In conclusion, the writer of this essay fully subscribes to this notion due to stronger bonds and the knowledge that guardians need to know before giving birth is enormous.
